9Th St Mexican Tacos — Restaurant in Lawrence

I went to this place a couple years ago, and it was great.

Came back today, they were out of carnitas and barbacoa. So I ordered something else. It took 23 minutes for us to get our food. The chicken was cold, the queso was super runny, and I mean milky runny. Chips were soaked with grease.

While we were waiting, the staff had on 'Call Her Daddy', a popular sex podcast. I hadn't noticed until I heard something to the effect of how the host 'likes to ride her man' while I'm waiting the 22 minutes for my cold food.

The staff didn't apologize, frankly they seemed so disinterested in being there.

The service was slow and confusing. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and chorizo and a sausage taco. The food should have come out faster and I had to wait for my friends food to arrive. The bacon was undercooked for my sandwich and the potatoes were inedible. For a near downtown restaurant you should make better breakfast potatoes. The final straw was when I ate the breakfast sausage taco. It’s literally Italian sausage. I crunched down on a fennel seed. I get it you make meatball pasta dishes but don’t serve a breakfast taco with Italian sausages and shotty cheese. I left that place saying I’ll never be back and it’s the truth....

Gave this place a try. Food was good. Like their thin cut ranch fries. The atmosphere could be improved if they added some fireplaces to the extension and some garage doors for summer. Service was not the best. Seems the new thing in larrytown is place your order before you find a seat, pick up your order at a window, find some silverware and napkins, get your drink at the fountain, bus your table when done.
