Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation — Attraction in Lawrenceville

I did a rental at the LILBURN ACTIVITY BUILDING back in MAY for my daughters graduation party. And after the party I was DUE my deposit back. It never came and I started to inquire about it and They said it was a technical problem and the Head Office (Langley Dr.) would look into the matter! That was around JULY 2022! I contacted LANGLEY DR. and they said my would be issued in 30 days and I told the rep OK! It then turned to the end of JULY and JOHN (Langley DR.) said the check was mailed and CASHED..I asked how’s that possible and it never arrived to my address……TURNS OUT THE LILBURN ACTIVITY BUILDING NEVER UPDATED MY NEW ADDRESS when I did that rental so the CHECK WAS STOLEN! JOHN FROM LANGLEY IS ACTING LIKE I STOLE MY OWN CHECK FROM AN ADDRESS I NO LONGER LIVE AT!!!!! He told me I have to send him a police report that my check my stole!! I contacted the LILBURN POLICE DEPT & they said I’m not the one that can file a report because the check ISSUER IS SUPPOSE To make a complaint!! And make a claim with their BANK SINCE THE MONEY FRAUDULENTLY WAS TAKEN FROM THE COUNTIES ACCOUNT!!! I emailed JOHN AND NO ANSWER OR REPLY!!! It’s NOT FAIR THAT IM LEFT WITHOUT MY MONEY BECAUSE HES TO LAZY TO FILE A REPORT AND HE HAS PROOF THAT THE CHECK WAS MAILED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS!!!!!!!! Parks are great but website is user unfriendly. And they have glitches. Nothing is clear cut or easy. As others have said the staff do not help you. The worst ones are at the pools. Rude. If you come up to the counter and they are on the computer they will ignore you till they are good and ready to see you. You can tell they are not really doing...
