I am not sure what is up with this restaurant but I think the founders will be ashamed of the current food that were being dished out from the kitchen. Steak fries. Not a real steak but just the half of the ground beef patty that was battered. Not kidding. Buffalo wings. A little too salty and the meat is to the dry side. They must cooked it a little too long. The sauce is not spicy but sweet and watered down. Who does that to the sauce? Not worth the price for the mini wings served. Fries were on the large cut side. Soaks the oil, slightly soggy, and to the bland side. The salad was store bought and not freshly made. When we asked for no cheese salad, the cashier suggested to have the cheese individually picked out. So one of the more experienced server stepped in to suggest to make use new salad from scratch. They used the shredded lettuce for the burger and some slice of tomato. The burger patty on my mushroom burger was on the dry side. The pastrami on the pastrami burger was on the dry side. The only recommendation I have is for the chef to improve the food. For those who are curious to try, I hope you have a better experience than my family had. The stars represents a negative star value for the food and service.

I hadn’t been to Burger Stop in years. They were selling a shamrock shake (which sounded delicious) so my 7-year-old and I decided to stop by and grab some lunch. We stopped by on a Sunday around 3:00 and it was very quiet and empty. We went right up to the counter and placed our order. They took my name and then I let my daughter choose where to sit. She picked one of the glittery red booths in the back. Right after we sat down, an employee brought us out our shakes (so fast)! My daughter gave the shake two thumbs up! Not long after, they brought out our food. I was expecting my chicken club sandwich to be on the smaller side, but I was pleasantly surprised when they brought it out on a hoagie roll! I devoured 3/4 of it and took the rest home. My daughter enjoyed her chicken nuggets and she helped me polish off the tater tots. The food was absolutely delicious and the environment was fantastic! We enjoyed the decorations, watched a little football, and my daughter even danced to the music. We had a great mother daughter day and I’m glad we choose to eat at Burger Stop.

I like that the fries still had the potato skins on them. Unfortunately they were under cooked and only warm, not hot and fresh out of the fryer. I ordered the regular size and it came with enough for me. They also gave me two containers of fry sause, very nice I did not run out and have to look for ketchup. I ordered the inferno bacon cheese burger. It only had three fried jalapenos on it, covering less than a quarter of the burger. I could see the pepper jack cheese but could not taste it because it was sliced paper thin. The bacon was also sliced very thin, but it had a great taste to it. Over all the burger had a great taste and was not over cooked. For the cost of the burger I don't think that they should be skimping on the fried jalapenos, cheese, and bacon. I went through the drive through so not sure about inside. The outside was well taken care of. The staff got my order correct and they were very friendly. The wait was short, but I would have liked it longer if that meant I would have gotren hot, crispy, and fresh fries.

A unique hamburger restaurant with a 1950's twist.

Customer History: The place has been around for a while now, at least as long as I have lived in Ut The places quality has gone up and down over the past ~9 years. I will say that right now it's fantastic and definitely worth trying whether you're looking for a quick snack or a hearty all American meal. I have never had any issues with my order or meal since I've been going there in 2019.

Aesthetic: The place gives off a 1950/1960's vibe, featuring music from that time period as well as a checkered floor, juke box, and plenty of pictures of cars and historical images of car related events in Utah. Speaking of cars, the place centers around a theme of classic cars and they frequently hold classic car shows if you're interested in that sort of stuff.

Food: The food is pretty good. They have burgers that I would say are some of the best in the Layton area, with the only nearby competitor that is able face up to them being Crown Burgers. Other than good burgers, they have a pretty good breakfast burrito as well, I particularly like their breakfast burritos. They also have some other sandwiches as well as corn dogs and stuff like that. They do have drinks, however there are no refills. My only main complain is that the food can be sort of greasy sometimes, but that is to be expected considering it's a fast food burger restaurant.

Service: The customer service is fine. I have had no problems. Really no major comments good or bad.

Price: Pricing is fine, and you get what you pay for by my opinion.

Conclusion:

One of the better burger places in the Layton area which is decently priced and popularly loved by all ages. I would definitely give it a try if you...

I have been coming here at least twice a month for years and sadly today is my last time coming here. My experience today is the perfect example of how one horrible employee can ruin the whole company for everyone. I made my order and pulled up to the window. An older gentleman opened the window and put out his hand for my payment without saying one word. I asked if I could add on a large drink and explained I tried to do so with my order but I didn’t think the girl taking my order heard me. With hardly a response he sat there with an attitude of hating his job on his face. I was talking to my friend on the phone thru my car speaker who made the comment “They seem REAL friendly there” after hearing no greeting and no response about adding a drink to my order. This must have pissed off the older gentleman at the window and he rolled his eyes and gave me a dirty look, handled me my card and walked away!!! He did not say one word AT ALL! No total, no thank you, no have a nice day, NOTHING! Are you kidding? He is definitely old enough to know manners and customer service by now. I’ll take my business elsewhere over being treated like that for absolutely no reason. Super disappointing and a total turnoff from what USED to be a...
