Office Depot — Attraction in Layton

Strange experience.. I will start off by saying that I regularly print a small amount (like 15 copies) at the Ogden store. Sometimes they will print for me, and sometimes they ask me to use the self print machine.

I was in Layton, so I pulled up to this location and was surprised to see an absolutely empty parking lot.. so I assumed my small print job would be quick. Walk inside and see 3 or 4 employees and 0 customers.. was promptly greeted at the print desk. Told her I just needed to print 15 copies of a basic pdf in black and white on card stock paper.. She asked if 6p would work (it was 11am).. Kinda caught me off guard, but I do understand they probably have online orders in the que.. so I said no, but I guess if they could hand me the paper, I would print on the self service machine (like I have done many times at the other location).. "oh we can't do that either - sometimes that paper jams"

What in the world!?!?!

I look at the 4 other employees just standing there and decide to go to the print shop 1 block away. Print and Main.. They had my 15 copies printed within 2 minutes. I don't know why I didn't go to the local shop in the first place.

When shopping for a printer I had looked at a few but no one was around for me to ask questions. I don't go looking for help since I feel if someone wants to sell me something they should be available! I walked into Layton Office Depot and was greeted and told if I had questions feel free to ask. As I was looking at printers Izzy walked up and asked if I had any questions. I said yes and she not only answered my questions but informed me about things I hadn't even thought about. Buying a printer may seem pretty simple but she helped me to really understand what I was buying. She even did a price match on my purchase that I had looked at from another store. Jason in the copy/print dept is incredibly kind and helpful. I give him 5 stars. The other employee (who's name I cannot remember or find on the receipt) dropped the ball and I would give them 0 stars if that was an option. They made it hard for Jason to find pictures that I dropped off to be scanned because they were left behind a computer in an envelope. The pictures were of a family member who recently passed away and Jason was so kind and compassionate when I started crying as soon as he found the pictures.
