IHOP — Restaurant in Layton

Went to the Layton Utah IHOP for nephew’s birthday back on April 8. There were 9 of us total. I’m not a fan of this IHOP since it changed owners years ago. Last time I went here was about 5 years ago and was not impressed. Didn’t want to go here but nephew wanted pancakes so we went here. Several things made this a horrible trip. First, lady that works there was in the front and saw us walk in. She just kept doing what she was doing. We literally waited 5 minutes to be seated. There was no one in front of us or behind us. She wasn’t even on the phone. She didn’t greet us. Then finally asked how many and took us to be seated. We all ordered, when we go our meals and drinks, no refills. We had to keep tagging her to refill. I had water and had to ask my daughter to drink her water since she ordered lemonade. My husband ordered their sirloin tips with mashed potatoes and salad with dressing. The salad was bigger than the main dish. We counted and there were only 5 pieces of sirloin. About an inch in size! The mashed potatoes was just a tablespoon in size! Worst dinner! I had the BLT sandwich and the bacon was to crispy that my teeth felt like it was going to break off just biting into the sandwich. It was a mistake to come to this ihop, should have went to Denny’s. Most likely will never go back to this ihop ever again. We live in Layton but I would rather drive elsewhere. today i went to ihop for dinner to catch up with a friend over dinner but my experience turned into watching my amazing server who was nothing but sweet and helpful and literally on her toes the ENTIRE time while trying to manage a whole restaurant by herself get absolutely belittled and screamed at. i didn’t see one other server in sight other than the girl clocking out to go home, that’s when a server and part time manager i found out with red hair named Heather got there and continuously complained, cried, and screamed for 35+ minutes straight about her baby daddy, home life problems, and then on top of that and I had to watch as she absolutely belittled and completely humiliated our server by screaming at her , telling her what she did wrong, and trying to get her to take on loads of more work , so now everyone in our section (about 4 or 5 other tables) is getting neglected due to this ,, and to no fault of the server who was trying her humanly best to do it all. Heather was completely unprofessional and it should never be tolerated to have this type of abuse going on in a restaurant or any business. not to mention the food was absolutely mid and not worth the price. go to a better breakfast restaurant especially if they are going to let there workers get treated this way (in front of customers especially) .. also happy birthday to our sweet server who had EXCELLENT customer service...

I am in a wheelchair, I had talked to the greeter a few times and had to wait in between the doors . was taken to a booth told them that wouldn't work with wheelchair. So we got put in a table with booth/wall touching one side and a chair on the other. Right next to emergency escape door. My back was to the whole restaurant. Our waitress didn't seem like we were not important. We told her what we wanted to drink and she was off before we finished and that was what it was like the rest of our meal. I ordered the strawberry and cream crepes when I got it it was cold was trying to flag her down and let her know. I had tried to eat some more we didn't see her until she came to drop off out bill/ticket . told her that it was cold and the real strawberries on it where frozen in the middle. Under her breath I heard her say we don't freeze them. She said she would let management know. Brought me a box to take it home. That was the last time we saw her when she handed me my box.
