J.W. Crancer's — Attraction in Leavenworth

I photographed a wedding here a few weeks back. Overall, this is a very nice space. The staff was exceptional and went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Because the venue is downtown the parking can be a bit tricky. This one you had some pretty cool getting ready areas my biggest complaint and it’s only because I’m a photographer is the lighting. I don’t know that they have any overhead lighting in the building. It was lamps in the getting ready suites and string lights where they held the ceremony. Which did make it more difficult to shoot BUT as I said, the venue was very nice. The couple said it was pretty affordable so all in all I would definitely recommend to any couple looking for wedding venue. Just make sure your photographer is aware of the lighting situation before...

If you have a celebration this is the place to book! The ambience is exposed brick and lots of wood. Absolutely gorgeous! Food was buffet style and wow! Just delicious! Chicken that literally melted in your mouth it was so tender! Diced potatoes that were crunchy outside and smooth and buttery inside. Green beans that DIDNT go limp when you pierced them with your fork and a mixed green salad that topped it off. The vibe is trendy and eclectic. Bathrooms (because I always check these out) were super clean and attended to. The desserts? Look at them! These were only 2 of several. I really couldn't stuff more than these into my mouth! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! And the presentation was jaw dropping! Last, staff was incredible. Just the nicest and most accommodating people ever! Big thumbs up!...

J.W. Crancer's Event Space is where I had my wedding and reception this past Saturday. The space is breathtaking and doesn't need much added to it. I personally did very minimal decor because I loved the character the space had as it was. The staff is very easy to work with and very outgoing. Kat, Selena, and Jackie are three superstars! I threw a lot of ideas at them and they went with them with no hesitation. We had a small mishap of the fire alarms going off while we were getting ready, due to an issue with a party from the night before, but the staff got everything taken care of quickly and made sure to make it up to us.
