I see now that I was saving my first Google review until I found a business that was consistently both unique and exceptional. Now that I’ve spent more than three years enjoying all this multi layered gallery has to offer, my search is over. I’m one of those people who has been obsessed with taking pictures and enjoying photographs since I was ten. From flash bulbs to Polaroids and Kodachrome to digital images, I was hooked. So, when I found the Sohn Fine Art Gallery with Cassandra Sohn and John Clarke in Lenox, Ma., I was surprised and delighted. I believe this is a place where the owner’s passion for photography has been developed, expanded and expressed to include the gamut of fine art photography. I’ve been fortunate enough to have bought some framed limited edition prints that I love, have had my own pictures edited into photographs, printed and framed, and have had hours of wonderful conversation about photography. There is a warm, relaxed, sophisticated energy that involves you as you walk in the door. My first visit found a remarkable show of extraordinary male nudes. In a town like Lenox, it was an unexpectedly fun experience. While consequently ending my relationship with full length mirrors, the show’s courage blew me away. Since then, I’ve been provoked, educated, amazed, amused and calmed by Cassandra’s thoughtfully curated eclectic exhibitions of both local and internationally known photographers. Cassandra has provided a safe haven and a beautiful showcase for her own, John’s and many other excellent imaginative fine art photographers as well as a place where my images are treated with the utmost care and concern while they work to bring out the best possible photograph before John exercises his jewel of a talent for turning them into rich exciting prints.
I can heartily recommend this business to anyone who enjoys photography or who thinks they may like to learn.
Keep up the great work,

Read moreI entered a fee-based competition for possible inclusion in a Sohn Gallery exhibition. Instead of adhering to the acceptance/denial notification date she originally stated in the specifications, the gallery director switched to a Hollywood style maneuver and told me I was, "shortlisted", with a NEW notification date a month away, thus rendering my artworks in limbo and unavailable for exhibition elsewhere.
I contacted Ms. Sohn and demanded a refund. After her sad attempt at convincing me that by having shortlisted several of my pieces she had indeed fulfilled her obligation of timely notification, I notified my credit card company. Bank of America has no tolerance for this type of manipulation of terms and upon their investigation granted my...
