The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, it was a great lay out and extremely conscientious of the current situation making a comfortable distance between patrons.
I was annoyed that the hostess sat me at small table next to the bathroom when I was a first client indoors, so high foot traffic and noise - if I was them I would eliminate the table in their floor plan for future clients.
The prices may be considered a little high but the food is absolutely wonderful and you pay for substance. I had the Pan con tomate and it was a great balance of flavors with a beautiful presentation and for the main dish I had was the duck three ways and it’s a must try. It had a great combination of flavors and textures and I feel it’s a strong elevated dish surpasses other meals I’ve experience in this town.
The menu itself is a reason why I wanted to try the restaurant and it did not disappoint. The drinks I had were perfectly blended and balanced the dishes nicely. The bartenders made a great cocktail. If you’re just out for appetizer and drinks definitely a go for this place.
Now as far as service goes, my personal server was lacking - I had a meal an appetizer and two drinks and it took an hour and a half for a table of one. The gentleman that hosted my table was inconsistent. He came three times - once to ask my order, another to bring my appetizer and lastly to bring my credit card back.
However there was this lovely woman who was extremely attentive to me while handling her tables. She brought me a plate for my appetizer without me asking, she asked me multiple times if I need anything, she asked me if I want another drink and gave my card to my server at the end. She had a pleasant and warm disposition.
If she was my server from the beginning and I was not placed where I was, this would’ve been a five-star experience. I feel like this is a one off moment based from the behavior I saw from the majority of the staff.
This place is a must try and I know I will be coming back because this menu...
Read moreSo this was our first time in Lennox and my daughter made a dinner reservation at Firefly. As we walked up, I saw there was a live band and my first thought was "I hope we aren't too close to a loud band." They put us practically right in front of the band, Misty Blues. So I was afraid this dinner wasn't going to go great. Well, within 10 seconds of sitting down this guy starts playing one of the best saxophone solos I've ever heard! The band was GREAT. Literally, whether people in the place were locals or first-time-in-town like us, everyone was rocking along, dancing, singing, etc. It was an incredibly fun atmosphere. And oh by the way, the food was also excellent! We had burgers, steak medallions, scallops and lobster bisque. All got high marks. They had a decent variety of well-selected beers on tap and and a small dessert menu that was also very good. The four options (we tried them all) were creme brulee, chocolate cake, lava cake, tiramisu. All of them were delicious, especially the creme brulee and lava cake. Apparently Misty Blues is the usual Friday band at Firefly so if you are new to visiting Lenox on a Friday give yourself a great time by checking them out! (Also we learned they have 10 albums you can peruse on iTunes and they get played on XM's blues channel. They are...
Read moreLast night, I took my family consisting of my wife, son, his wife, and their two year old. We arrived at our reservation time of 6:00 pm and noticed that there were no restaurant parking facilities. We found a spot about 2 blocks away and were then seated promptly. The room we were in was empty except for one other table. There were two high chairs available for children, both had broken safety straps. I took off my pants belt and improvised. Menus and the beverage order were taken and the drinks arrived 10 minutes later. Our food order was taken. After 45 minutes, the pre-meal snacks arrived followed by entrees 15 minutes later. The food was fair. The $15 hamburger was quite small for this price when compared to other restaurants in the area. The ribs on the other hand, I found quite bland. When examining the menu the prices for most of their choices were quite out of line. eg. side dish of fried potatoes was $8. Lamb was $28. During the meal I requested a refill of the soda I had finished. It arrived 15 minutes later after I completed eating.
The decor of the place is quite rundown. Lamps from the 1950's, bathrooms that need a complete remodel, and "artwork" on the wall from a teenagers basement . I will not be...
