This was one incredible pizza shop! They serve Neapolitan pizza and they have a vegan menu with tons of great options. The pizzas are cooked in a brick over at high temps (900° is what we heard) so don’t be surprised if the pizza has a few charred spots. It’s normal and typical of the style. They’re about 12 inches in size and good as a full meal if you’re hungry.
The restaurant itself is charming, well decorated, and clean. It’s not very big, but it still feels nice and spacious. The staff was friendly and pleasant with every interaction. It wasn’t very busy on a Sunday afternoon and our party was seated right away. Our food didn’t take long either, just about 15 minutes for our 4 pizzas.
My wife and I split a salad and they kindly split it into two plates without us even asking and I appreciated that. The pear and Gorgonzola salad was refreshing and light , well dressed, and added a nice brightness before we dove into any pizza. We ordered both the Bianca and the Pepperoni they were absolutely heavenly. The dough and the sauce are the perfect compliment to the wonderful toppings. Both of the pizzas balanced sweet and savory flavors and all of the ingredients were fresh. This is better than any Neapolitan pizza I’ve ever had. Our friends had 2 of the vegan pizzas and gave similarly glowing reviews for the margherita and the tartufo. Making a beautiful pie like these is not easy and this place absolutely knocked it out...
Read moreWent in on a Saturday night with my teenage niece around 6:15pm. The place was 1/4 full, we grabbed two seats at the nearly empty bar. One bartender spoke loudly to the couple next to us for the entire time and didn’t even glance our way, the other eventually took our drink order, but waited a good ten minutes between each check in. We weren’t given menus (I just noticed in a review below there was a vegan menu??) . We weren’t greeted except to be asked what kind of water we wanted. I’m assuming because I asked for tap water, she plopped down a carafe (nice touch) then immediately walked away; I couldn’t order a drink from her for 20 minutes bc she was chatting with the staff. We finally could get her attention to order food (note again the place was nearly dead) and she was increasingly rude and condescending, as if we were bothering her to order a soda ($5 for fountain soda!!) or ask for a side of sauce (delivered cold). Each “smile” had a nasty eye roll or comment. The gentleman server was friendly and responsive. The pizza was DELICIOUS! The salad was just ok. $50 later for a glass of wine, a salad, and what ended up being an amazing pizza; For the first time in my adult life I only left a 10% tip because I was so embarrassed and insulted by how we were treated. I would never return to a place with such nasty staff and it’s too bad because I will definitely...
Read moreAbsolutely delicious! Great job to all the workers here today! I ordered several pizzas for the guys at work. I travel for work and only work in Lenox a couple times a month. I got the bbq chicken white sauce pie, the prosciutto margarita pie, and I order a “chorizo, basil, and ricotta, red sauce pie.” I should have taken picture because they were all beautiful works of art! But they are all gone, everyone including me devoured them!
I tried calling in to order but the cellular service was pretty bad and the call kept dropping. So when I went in to order in person I noticed it’s a bad service area and I had no bars on my phone. But it was surprisingly only a 5 minute wait for 3 pizzas to go!!! Oh and get the “Free” Hot Honey!!! Definitely going to make the hour drive with my fiancé and some of our friends for a date night! Loving Lenox more and more every time I visit! I might have to start looking for a house here?!
Also I read an article on the wall while I was waiting, husband and wife co-own Frankie’s next door! I took my fiancé Kaitlin last month to Frankie’s for our anniversary dinner! I was raving about how cool the town was. The atmosphere, food, and service were amazing! We will be back soon...
