We've been going to the Berkshire's for 30 years, always trying a new Bed and Breakfast. Last year, Garden Gables impressed us so much that we returned this year and there was no disappointment! Rosie the Innkeeper welcomed us like family who have returned to visit a home away from home. Her hospitality and attention to detail, along with her fabulous team, are the impeccable qualities that are responsible for making this Inn, the finest we have visited in all these years. The staff was always present to be helpful and service at breakfast could not have been better! The chef was also able to accommodate specific food allergies and preferences without any hesitation. Check out time was 11:00AM, but we were welcomed to remain in the lovely common area, as long as we liked, without being rushed out. Rosie even offered us refreshments! Before we left, we booked our rooms (by the way which we could hand pick for personal preference), for next year! An added treat is their connection to Hilltop Orchards , where you can enjoy hiking, snowshoeing, warm donuts and a free wine tasting! My friends and I look forward to our next late...
Read moreMy most recent stay and the Garden Gables Inn was last weekend to enjoy the magnificent fall foliage. Having been a returning guest for 14 years, my husband and I book-ended our summers at GGI staying 5 days July 4th weekend and 5 days Labor Day weekend. Year after year we stayed in the same beautifully appointed room which truly became our “home in the Berkshires.” The spacious rooms are individually decorated creating a personal feel with every detail and accommodation attended to. The staff is exemplary in creating a most pleasant stay of the warmest hospitality. The hotel is authentic to the character of the Berkshires allowing its guests to be fully immersed in the region to start the day with a chef cooked breakfast, enjoy a multitude of cultural offerings and restaurants and end the day with a most wonderful place to...
Read moreI received a $250 gift card to this Inn, but was not able to use the gift card to book online. I have since called the Inn 10+ times and have left multiple voicemails asking for assistance. I was only able to speak with a live person on one occasion, and was told another individual would need to help me instead. I was promised that I would receive a phone call back, but I never did. To say that I am dissatisfied with their customer service is to suggest that they have customer service. I am not optimistic that we will recoup this financial loss, and I would never recommend this Inn to others. If I could give 0 stars I would. I am quite honestly writing this review in a last ditch effort to be contacted by someone at the Inn. My next step is to contact the credit card company used to purchase the gift card for the charge to...
