The architect was Isaac Damon. It is currently operated by the Lenox Library Association. It is known for the collections it houses. The Tanglewood Papers, which contains the history of Tanglewood including musical and foundation history. Historical artifacts and pictures are located here as well. Other collections are the Edwin Hale Lincoln Photography Collection, the Elizabeth MacKinsrty Collection of illustrated children's books from the 18th - early 20th Century. The inside has a classic look especially with the busts on display. It has access to computers 🖥️ and modern media. There is the Sedgwick Reading Room for adults, a children's reading room and the Welles Galley for multiple uses. There is a bookstore near the entrance where I found good deals on books 📚. Friendly staff. It is worth a stop 🛑 and if I had more time, I would have sat down and relaxed...
