Prime Italian Steakhouse & Bar — Restaurant in Lenox

Horrible experience. Reserved a patio table for 5:15 on a Saturday night (8/7) for my husband’s birthday. We drove up from CT and arrived at 5:15. Waited 5 minutes for a hostess to seat us. She showed up with a tablet, checked us in and told us we had until 6:30 to dine. 1 hour and 10 minutes! They had a party of 10 coming in and needed the patio. We told her that was not ok; we were here for a nice dinner; cocktails, apps, entrees, dessert.. the works and did not want to rush out in an hour. We could understand 2 hours or a bit less..but an hour.. that is not a pleasant dining experience. Her response, “we need the table it’s not our problem and we assumed you would want to be out within an hour”. We responded, who would want to be rushed and choke down a celebration dinner.. or any dinner worth having... in an hour?” Her response, “We didn’t know you wanted a table longer than the hour; that’s not our problem you should have let us known.” She then said, if you want to stay longer than an hour you can eat inside”. “Again we said... we booked here and the patio to specifically enjoy a nice dinner outside. if we could sit for only an hour you should let people know when booking”. her response, “ Not my problem, do you want the table inside or not,”. At this point we were beyond upset, Saturday night in Lenox, drove hours to dine on the outside patio and if we left we might not even get in elsewhere. I said, “this is ridiculous and horrible service it’s not ok to treat customers this way.” They then accused of us of yelling at them. No I did not yell. I firmly told you it was not ok and the service was horrible. We left and fortunately dined at another restaurant. We spent 350 on dinner and drinks and left the waitstaff a $100 tip. We also notified all our friends that come up from CT, NY, MA and RI to NEVER go near this place. Also let all our contacts on social media...

Prime charges $$$ for their filet mignon • I have no problem paying top dollar for quality select cuts of meat • I dine out regularly from Ruth Chris to Dakotas Steak House • Prime falls somewhere in between the two with quality & atmosphere• Primes filet mignon at best is "grocery store quality" • The piece of filet I was served was small • flat • rubbery • marbled with fat & gristle • very odd in flavor and tuff in texture • after being asked how my meal was a few times I decided to let them know • I politely and very diplomatically proceeded in describing how dissatisfied I am with the poor quality of filet in which I was served • I wasn't expecting anything • simply felt they needed to know • The owner was RUDE • DEFENSIVE • ARROGANT • FULL OF EXCUSES • And went on to say he could do nothing because our table had been cleared • I told the waitress how I felt before she cleared our table • The owner did not come over until after it was obviously cleared • I told him I didn't eat it • He debated me • insisting I ate all of it • I am a petite woman of 125 lbs • I can assure you I did not • he was very argumentative and quite mean spirited • He could care less about pleasing a client • I DO NOT recommend dining here • poor quality meat • very...

My husband & I went to the Berkshires for 4 days, are hotel recommended us to try Prime Restaurant in Lenox. The atmosphere was was breath taking, one walks in hungry but as you leave you are so content filled with warmth by the amazing meal you can not help but finished & trust me you will never have to force your fork into your mouth. For get all diets but no worries one walks it off in no time. The home made pasta to veal chop & fish we had to try it all. Oh BTW ladies a I highly recommend A must order of there house Martine. (Truly heaven) 😋amazing!!! The staff are so friendly & happy. You can do nothing but take it all in & enjoy the moment. What a gift the owner of Prime has brought to Lenox MA. The bar tender, waitresses & owner are naturally joyful people. Perfect music in he back ground. No one will ever walk out of Prime with a frown on your face . In fact you will be going home speaking of prime. As we where so impressed we where so excited to go back another night before are journey home. Honestly I could of done dinner & drinks there 4 nights in a row, that is how Good it gets. Land...
