Absolutely disappointed. Went there for dinner around 6:30 PM. The barmen approached us 10 minutes after we sat to ask what we would get. His annoyed attitude was like we were doing some sort of crime asking for food and drinks. Since we already checked the menu online we put the full order immediately. 30 minutes later he comes and says one of the items we ordered finished. It was only 7 PM. We didn't ordered substitute and asked for the rest of the order. 20 minutes late the order comes. Only 2 out of 3 items remaining from the order made it. After 10 minutes consulting they decided to ask us if we still wanted the other item. The attitude remains the same supercilious one. 5 minutes after that I paid and went to eat and have a drink on the next facility where people were happy to deal with new clients. This was the conclusion of a 5 day trip to Berkshires. Out of every breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner we had this was the only one that was worst than disappointing. There are way better places with way better...
Read moreThe food was great, except for the wings. That kind of baffled me. There were so many open tables, but we got stuck by two swinging doors on each side at maybe a 2 by 2 table. Normally I'm not shy to say what I think but for some reason on this night I just went with the flow. Even though they were not at full capacity covid wise, we got really slow service. We were on our once a month date and it took about 20 minutes before anyone even asked what we wanted to drink. The drinks were great I would highly recommend the espresso Martini or the chocolate martini, but it just took forever. The food took even longer. No one asked if everything was okay until we were done eating. We had to flag the waitress down four more drinks... Part of me can't help but wonder if we were treated this way, as we saw others treated differently, because I was there with the only person of color as a patron. Idk. Maybe it was just...
Read moreThis was my 1st time at Old Heritage Tavern as I was visiting from out of town. We were seated at the large outdoor picnic table with several other patrons of whom I felt compelled to ask if they minded our sitting with them. “No, please make yourself comfortable” was the response.
Lunch was terrific as we chatted with our new friends. My buddy had the Turkey wrap and I had the Spinach Salad with Salmon. He said the wrap was very good and I found the salad and salmon very fresh and such a big portion, it was almost too much. Delicious!
The gal at the head of our picnic table had an overloaded platter of something fried so we couldn’t help but ask….. “Fish and chips” she said “and they’re marvelous!”
Polite and prompt service, a little pricey but good food, nice size portions, and the outside sidewalk style café `was very cozy and friendly. I would recommend giving Old Heritage...
