Escape De Facto / Escape Room — Attraction in Lincoln

I didn't know what to expect coming here. The owner "Akif" came to greet us and explained the entire experience to ensure we knew what to expect. After we signed a waiver (it scared us at first, but going through the rooms, it was no big deal) he gave us the rules, gave us coins to bribe the butler if we needed help looked at his watch and when we walked into the first room, he said time starts now! We had a tough start so we rang the bell and our butler gave us a hint free of giving him one of the coins. Getting clues right you are given a new clue which was a surprise in itself. Moving though the past the speed of a snail we accomplished our mission with seconds to spare. Was with one other person and had a blast, if we had more it would have been the same fun. But you want to really know how your partner reacts under stress, take them here. Want an experience that lasts an hour, but days, weeks months of fun conversations enjoy this place. My fiancé and I visited Escape De Facto recently, and we had an amazing time! It was my first-ever escape room experience and his second, and it couldn’t have been better. The room design was creative, challenging, and so immersive — every detail felt thoughtfully planned. The puzzles were the perfect balance of tricky and fun, and we loved how it encouraged us to work together and think outside the box.

The staff was super welcoming and gave just the right amount of hints when needed, making sure the experience stayed exciting without feeling frustrating. You can tell they really care about creating a great atmosphere.

We were a little nervous because we thought it would be too scary for us. It had it’s moments for sure, but it definitely wasn’t too scary at all (…and I’m a total wimp when it comes to all things scary)! The man that was working there was so incredibly nice!! We had such a fun time and it was super creative. It was very interactive. You might have to put things in a certain place and then that would pop out a clue. It was interesting going with my 12 and 13 year olds because they looked at things in a completely different way than I did. There were a couple of parts that really stumped us and then one of the boys thought of something that seemed a little far fetched to me, but it worked! We are planning a trip to their other location in Omaha next week. Definitely go check...
