We met Tuesday the owner at one of the Bixby First Friday thingies when she was promoting her shop-to-be with unique jewelry from small artists. She was hella nice so we were excited to see her store open and it does NOT disappoint.
I've always enjoyed this aesthetic but have never been part of the 'culture,' and I know sometimes Goth hotspots like these can be clique-y or judgmental if you're not 'in.' Eclipsed Emporium never gives that vibe at all; Tuesday has always been very welcoming and truly passionate about every piece she stocks!
She supports brands both big and small and the space is very comfortable with lots of dark and fun clothing and accessories to peruse. There's lots of recognizable e-commerce brands too like Killstar and Dracula Clothing, so it's a nice opportunity to actually see, feel, and try the pieces on in person. Last time I was in, my fiancée and I snagged a secondhand Killstar unicorn PJs set, a gold and black jacquard double-breasted waistcoat, and a casual sleeveless hooded top. There's really something for everyone.
There's also a secondhand section which is great, both for your wallet and for the environment, since the fashion industry as we know can be pretty wasteful. You can bring in your (good condition) secondhand clothing and get some store credit for it too!
It's mainly street parking so be prepared; sometimes we park in the diner parking lot if they're closed but idk how strict they are about that!
Anyway, support small businesses! I wish this shop...
Read moreFirstly, this place is such a safe space for everyone. I want to start there. I’m a femme presenting non-binary, Afro-indeginous. I am also autistic, so I’m very shy and can often come off as rude. People usually give me anxiety. But never once have I felt that way when I’ve stepped into that place. I encountered a marvelous beauty, adorned in the most dauntingly, marvelous, mysterious, clown makeup. With the most riveting, red hair. Ugh. Divine.
Have you ever met someone who you could glance at and tell they have a sweet, soul? That’s who you’ll meet when you walk into the luxurious crypt boutique.
The sweetest goth you’ll ever meet, you’ll think she was dipped in absinthe and dusted in blood sugar. Treat yourself to threads crafted by dark angels themselves. I bought so many things. Ugh.
SO MANY BEAUTIFUL THINGS. IT IS THE DISNEYLAND FOR GOTHS. Sylvia was the BEST, and she gave me cupcakes. So you know. We’re friends forever now.
She helped me pick out everything, instant besties. Tuesday the owner is also attentive, hands-on, and genuine. You’ll hear her calling the staff and asking them if they need help.
P.S. I desperately need more rings, all their jewelry is the real deal, break your tooth if you bite it steel. My inner middle school me was healed being in here. I hope all the alt’s and goths, find this place. You’ll feel home...
Read moreThis is the ideal "Third Place" it is warm, welcoming and an all around friendly environment. I took my wife and kids here and it was quite kid friendly. The Owner was working the front desk and she made the experience even better. It's clean and cute. A little area to sit down and chat while looking through the variety of clothing and accessories. If you consider visiting this place, GO. Even if it wasn't a consideration you should still go. There is no pressure to purchase and honesty we could have stayed all day. Did I mention the owner made an effort to play with our child aswell when she was funny and completely distracted her while helping her obtain a positive mood. WE LOVE THIS PLACE AND WILL ABSOLUTELY CONTINUE TO BE LIFE LONG CUSTOMERS! Follow on Social Media because the page is just as amazing as the facility. Thank you for the experience...
