Very strict policy about admission time and the price you pay for 20 mins out of the 50 mins (we arrived late bc of a last minute interest to check it out). Please check their website for policies and other rules. Note: a must to arrive by top of the hour to maximize time at the lounge. 50 min sessions. 10 minutes to clean. No outside treats allowed. Also, I am allergic to cats but they made it mandatory for me to pay the full price to accompany a minor. Decor was nice and the cats looked happy. Clean and bright facility. Parking was not a problem. Staff seemed engaged. The only dissatisfaction was their policy on entrance price for a session that was less than half the time left, charging me to accompany a minor where I didn’t want to interact with cats, and their only option for me was to buy the next block of time in addition to the full price that I paid for only 20 minutes. For the cat lovers, seems like a cute place. This is just my personal experience.
RESPONSE BACK TO OWNER:
I didn't say I disliked cats, I am just allergic to them. My child actually did have a good time there and asked to come back, which we were going to now knowing the rules. We did NOT have an appointment. We did a walk-up and was learning the policy on the spot; we were new customers. The review was on the admission policy. I actually noted some positive things about your place. Sure, I was mad and have every right to have emotions. But I paid, respected your facility, and left without any commotion. We even donated the treats we bought for them after learning we can't feed them. After your response to my review assuming my child had a negative experience or my emotions impacted her in any way, I find it interesting that you would speak for my child. Why would you...
Read moreThis review is not of the employees or the business itself but of Karen, who I guess looks at applications ?Highly condescending individual who sent me a nasty email about my cat adoption application. I was told I am not allowed to adopt one of their older, FIV POSITIVE, cats because when I was a child our outdoor kitty ran away and never came home 😔. That experience left me heartbroken as a child and happened 14 YEARS AGO. Now that I am an adult with plenty of space in my townhouse, no kids to stress out an older kitty, I am financially stable and I only work 3 days a week since I'm an RN and can dedicate more full days than most to spend time with a kitty.. I am not allowed to have a cat because of an experience as a child. I thought I was being a good person by attempting to adopt a cat with FIV, love him, and give him a good life since a cat like him may be a little less desirable due to his age and diagnosis. Also I mentioned I am open to letting a cat explore a little on a leash outside under supervision. I guess this is a bad practice. I didn't know ! She could've educated me and said "if you adopt one of our FIV positive cats, please never let it outside on a cat harness". Educate, edcuate, educate, respectfully. Instead I was talked to as if I failed a "test" and as if I am a ignorant iresponsible human not deserving of a cat companion!! Sorry my parents let my cat outside 14 years ago and and sorry I didn't know about leashing a cat. I will try the local animal shelter...
Read moreNot a challenging experience Karen.. This was you being a bad person and retaliating because you feel some kind of power.. shame on you being so flippant on this matter.. My daughter who has a lovely apartment applied for 2 kitties and was approved originally. She had a job offer during the application process and didn't follow up after she was approved. As everyone knows starting a new job takes up your energy and time. We paid to visit and love up all the cats and kittens and my daughter explained what happened. The two kitties had been adopted already. She put another application in and was denied with no questions asked.BUT she now works remote and would be home to acclimate the kitty to her home.. why wouldn't they even consider that.. many people work long hours and commute and still care for their cats/kittens but this is an ideal situation. She asked me to apply and give this kitty a home because she loves the kitten and figured she could visit and love it. I just lost my elderly kitty after 17 years and was ready to give this kitty a forever home. I was denied out of association. I grew up here and I have a very steady job and a nice apartment. Shame on this company for not being more open to people who would give these animals a good home. Try putting more time into your application process maybe doing a home visit and getting to know somebody before you judge them. Disgusting behavior...
