Louis Burger III — Restaurant in Long Beach

So a year ago I found the place, and posted this, with a three star review: I was in the area and needed a quick dinner, so I stopped here and tried their "colossal burger", which was their regular burger with a bunch of pastrami on top. I was reasonably impressed with it. I wouldn't drive for miles just to go back, but I would have no problem going back if I happened to be in a similar situation in the future. Their horchata was clearly the fake stuff from a soda fountain, though, not the fresh stuff.

Since then, I have stopped here a few more times (when I was in the area), and have been way more impressed with some of their other food, and notably, for the sheer quantity of food you get for the price. Just one regular burger for three bucks is enough to fill up the average stomach (and it's a pretty good burger, though nothing mindblowing except in food/dollar). The chicken dinner is probably enough for two people, or one really starving person (and again, nothing mindblowing, but pretty good food). Definitely the place to go if you have a lot more hungry people than cash - I still wouldn't go way out of my way for it, but anyone who's nearby and goes to a standard fast food chain instead of coming here, is dumb, because basically, the food is like fast food type food, only better quality and you get a crazy...

I remember a time when Louis was the place to go for breakfast. During the time a gentleman named Andreas I believe would run it. People were friendly, food was good and the place was clean. How times and the people have changed this place. I walked up to the front counter and waited for 2 young ladies to finish their conversation before they greeted me(even though they made eye contact when I opened the door). My order placing was simple and for the 1st time in a long time everything was done as requested. The place needs detailed cleaning and some very obvious things need fixing. Based on my visit today I was going to give it at least 3 star despite the fixable issues but while waiting on my table I observed a cook go to the bathroom WEARING HIS APRON still... The one he undoubtedly wipes his hands on while cooking. Came out and walked straight to the kitchen. I pray to God he at least washed his hands inside but than again Everyone grabs that same door handle so..... Yikes! Most of their chairs have paint on them. Their booths need detailed cleaning and for my sugar I decided to pour directly from the container as the lid was filthy. Their dining room area is in desperate need of detailed attention and so does the customer service. I'm not sure I'll be coming back but if I do I'll...

It was so nice that Louis Burger III was within walking distance of my dog's grooming/daycare location. I was so happy to stop in and finally enjoy a meal on the inside. Service was great and promp!. Almost as soon as I walked in, someone greeted me and asked if I wished to order. I did. I love pastrami and fries...even though it was still morning. I missed my favorite combo during the pandemic, so I seized the opportunity when it was before me! They were great! You just can't go wrong with a pastrami and fries from this fine restaurant. I know they use quality ingredients, too! My dog and I have passed the restaurant hours before opening and have seen multiple deliveries from companies I respect and and admire. So, it really was a treat to enjoy this well-prepared meal. Really, everything I have ever ordered from Louis' has been great! But, I will have to say, I rarely sat inside. But, on this day, I needed to kill time... and what a wonderful way to do it! The restaurant was immaculate! The servers and chefs were pleasant and getting the orders out in record time! You really need to experience Louis Burger III! You will thank me for it!...
