Rose Park is one of my favorite coffee shops in Long Beach, but I haven't had the best experiences at this location. The location on 4th Street has been consistently better for me. The service has been pretty disappointing here at the location on Pine. It's been 2-3 times now that I've come in during the afternoon and it's been nearly empty, but there's still quite a long wait to get my coffee. This isn't necessarily a big deal to me, but each time this has happened, the coffee quality has also been disappointing. One time, I ordered my coffee and was waiting for it while a regular came in. The barista stopped making my coffee and spent about five minutes just chatting with them, but didn't even take their order. When I did get my coffee, I could tell that the espresso wasn't dialed in well and was quite sour. On the other hand, I have always had great experiences at the 4th Street location. Their fall/winter drink—the herb and root latte is very good! I believe they also make their own oat milk.

I’ve hearing about Rose Park’s coffee for a while so I decided to try their espresso. I regret not writing the name of that blend down, but damn was it good. The barista mentioned it was a blend specially designed for espressos and you can definitely taste that balance. Grateful for the recommendation! The place is bright and since its divided in three sections you can make your pick according to what you need. I had to do some work so I went to the back, which was quiet even though people were talking, it may be how’s distributed. Whatever it is, good call. The place is cute and generally inviting, they sale their beans there too, in case you want to take a batch with you. Compared to other Long Beach’s coffee shops it has more a serious vibe, which is not bad, it’s just how I perceived it. Can’t wait to visit their other location!

Beautiful space. It’s nice and spacious for a coffee shop. The buttermilk biscuit and accompanying gooseberry jam was fantastic, especially since it was heated up without me having to ask. However, the espresso and macchiato drinks were awful. The espresso was so sour it was undrinkable. The caramel miso latte was good. Not too sweet. There was a hint of sourness in it too but the caramel hid it well enough to be ok. The service was ok. The heated biscuit was great and came out about 10 minutes before the coffee drinks so it cooled off before we could enjoy it with the coffee. Love the in house pastries and ambiance but espresso was a fail and the service was ok and timing of food and drinks could be improved.

Perfect in every way. Delightful Staff, stylish space, terrific perfect coffees and teas. A shiny example of another one of Long Beach born and bread home grown Businesses . So excited to be neighbors We are all happy to have you here nextdoor This block is only1000ft from 1st St. & should be included as "DOWNTOWN" We both can work together to make this thriving niche of Pine Ave a great example of What Downtown Long Beach really Means. not a designated line of what one person thinks Downtown is But what we all are working towards , sussefull and thriving business and the need for recognition of just that. It shouldnt be a segragated line that makes someone a Downtown Company address But the fact that working hard means youve earned the title. Welcome to Pine Ave, in...
