Ulta Beauty — Attraction in Longview

I purchased a perfume for my sister that just came out and cost $180. I mailed it out to her because I thought it was the one she wanted. Apparently I got the wrong one (the one she wanted was very similar but not as strong). She returned it to this location for store credit so she could get the similar version that was the same price. Instead of giving her the lowest price in the last 90 days which was around $140 with promo code, they gave her $40. She accepted it thinking they said $140. When she went to purchase what she wanted she was informed that she only had $40 on her gift card. The supervisor of this store is who gave her this return that she called a blind return. I didn't include the receipt because I didn't think she would need it and figured they could look up the purchase. Now that the return is finalized they won't do anything to help. The supervisor at this store has the choice to give her a refund for what it was worth but chose not to. The perfume was sprayed once but because it was too strong it wasn't used again. Despite returning a full bottle of brand new, just released perfume she was given an insulting return. For reference, my sister never returns anything so she didn't know how this process worked. I spoke to an Ulta supervisor at corporate and was informed that the supervisor of this location had the option of giving her a full refund but used her "discretion". Be careful of this location or they might use their "discretion" and rip...

We had a negative experience at this Ulta on one occasion, otherwise it's the usual Ulta experience here.

We went to the store an hour before it's posted closing time, which we verified at the store as well as online but they were closed. The employees were inside at the counter and the registers and saw us at the closed door and completely ignored us. No one came out to explain why they were closed an hour early or to give any other inflammation or explanation. They basically just watched us stand there scratching our heads and verifying that they were the ones who didn't know what time it was.

Personally I would have chosen a different ultra and not going back to this one, but the people I was with did go back a couple days later.

It is the usual layout and product selection. Well organized and well staffed.

The best thing about Ulta is that there is such a variety of brands and products you can get in one place.

If your a girl or guy who loves Make-up and Self care products it would be hard to Not like this store! Most brands that have a large fan base and are sold on-line are at the very least represented here. The only reason(s) I don't give it a 5 star rating are.. 1.) They have alarms on the more high end items. These alarms are sooo sensitive that if you move the palette in the wrong way it takes your picture and sounds an alarm that would wake the dead. Not only is it embarrassing for the customer who sounded the alarm but its also torture for everyone in the store. 2.) Also roughly half the staff is well versed in the products being sold. Which means the other 50% have no idea how to answer the question your asking. Overall though I've been a huge supporter of Ulta . I will continue to shop here.Also it is well worth signing up for their rewards program.
