Goodwill Southern California Store & Donation Center — Attraction in Los Angeles

I'd like to make a few comments not regarding high prices which became skyrocketing after new manager started rolling them UP. I'd like to talk about people who works inside of the store without air conditioning of this facility during the past couple of months, while outside mostly every day about 100F, and also about customers, who visits this store and could not breath normally, because of no working A/C, and very bad air quality . Apparently, looks like the store administration saving money for repairing a/c and also for electricity, and these savings can lead to serious consequences for the health of the employees and visitors of the store . This is not just a violation of the Labor Law of the State of California, it is the real mockery of people who honestly working very hard , and, because of circumstances can be understood by anyone, employees of this store could not to complain to anybody, simply because of fear of being dismissed from their jobs. I hope that the a store dministration will finally fix the problem and will create a decent working conditions for personnel, and finally will begin to execute the Labor Law of the State of California, until nothing yet happened, - something what later will have a lot of regret. The manager, Eric P., seems very rude, disrespectful, and unscrupulous.

When I went to the store, I found a pair of pants on a rack where the price for all pants was clearly listed as "$6.49 unless otherwise marked." When I brought the pants to the register the manager attempted to charge me $9.99 for the pants even though they were NOT marked otherwise. At this point, I brought this fact to his attention, thinking he had made a mistake. He said it was not and became upset and very obstinate, refusing to honor the advertised price. His actions seemed highly unscrupulous and fraudulent.

I am writing this review not because $3.50 makes a difference to me, but because his actions and subsequent refusal to acknowledge and fix his mistake are troubling and wrong as a matter of principle. I would recommend not shopping at this store until this management issue is fixed. Instead there are plenty of awesome thrift shops in nearby Burbank that have always treated me fairly...

It's ok for a goodwill I guess, just be aware if you like something and priced right go pay for it right away put it in the car. I had a worker who prices things resticker a $9.99 item to $49.99 after I placed it on hold at the counter to go grab a speaker since no carts are available when I came back it had been repriced at the register with the guy claiming someone had put that $9.99 sticker price on it while on the shelf. Bs. It was a used dirty yellowed radio that I was going to rehab and make nice again. Nobody would pay $50 for that thing, let alone the $10 I was going to buy it for. I mean who does that?
