Disappointing Dress Shopping Experience at Macyās Northridge.
I recently had the unfortunate experience of accompanying my wife to a dress shopping trip for a black tie event. It was disheartening to witness the numerous shortcomings and lack of consideration at the store we visited.
First and foremost, the selection of dresses was mediocre at best. While some of the dresses were passable, the overall quality and variety left much to be desired. It felt like shopping at a discount store rather than a place that caters to formal events. The lack of elegance and sophistication in the dress options was disappointing.
However, the worst part of the entire ordeal was the handling of the dressing rooms. To our dismay, the majority of the dressing rooms were inexplicably closed, leaving only one available. This meant that those who were unfortunate enough to have to wait were left standing for extended periods of time. It is utterly unacceptable to expect customers to endure such discomfort and inconvenience while trying on clothes.
Furthermore, upon closer inspection, we noticed that several dresses were missing essential elements. Belts were absent, and broken strings were a common occurrence. It is mind-boggling that the store would display and sell dresses that are incomplete and damaged. This lack of attention to detail only added to the feeling of shopping at a lower-tier establishment.
In conclusion, our experience at this dress store for the black tie event was reminiscent of shopping at a Walmart, where the clothing selection is subpar and the quality is questionable. The closure of most dressing rooms and the lack of attention to dress integrity were major disappointments. It is disheartening to see a store that could have provided a better shopping experience, but instead fell short in so many ways.
I sincerely hope that the management takes note of these issues and makes the necessary improvements to provide a more satisfactory shopping experience for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGARBAGE - First time going into macy's in 10 years. I thought maybe things had changed. Nothing has changed, it's still a trash store. I went looking for shoes. I selected several pairs. (1) All their shoes are locked up, so I had to spend 20+ minutes tracking down attendants, and none of them work in the department you want. Finally found one girl who would help. (2) After AN ENTIRE HOUR of giving this poor attendant girl shoe after shoe AFTER SHOE, she continued to check the back room, and NONE OF THEM ARE IN STOCK. They're all out on display "sizes 6-13" or some garbage, but in reality it's sizes 0-0 because they're entirely out of everything. (3) We also had another purchase online that we were picking up at the customer service desk. We PAID for a gift bag for this item. It was nowhere on the store receipt (even though it was clearly listed on our internet receipt), they claimed they had no gift bags, and we wasted another 20 minutes between 4 employees looking for a damn gift bag, and they ended up giving us some oversized massive thing from another department. (4) There is NEVER ANYONE AT THE CASH REGISTER, NEVER. They are always out helping customers shop, and spent so much time waiting in line for nothing that I dropped the other things I had on the floor and walked out.
I WILL NEVER SHOP AT MACYS AGAIN. Amazon is going to win because they put the customer first. Macy's can enjoy falling into bankruptcy. They're always out of stock, out of employees, and soon to be out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell it's a open department store and they do appear to be trying to stay in business. They have a wide variety of clothes in there but they aren't designed for Americans. Is clothing made out of various colored foil worn here? All the clothing is also a bill board for the manufacturers. Don't like advertising big logo's and lettering on my clothing. I bought a xxl size flannel shirt and have to wonder xxl what? Infant fresh out of womb? I should post a pic. I don't like the phoney discount pricing and sales. I have an app that auto compares prices on anything and Macy's was cheaper then no one on anything. And that's with all the tricks and discount offers. It's mall store pricing so not much of a shock. Never was able to find a pair of shoes I liked that fit. I only shop here when someone gives me a gift card. They need to fix the pricing. They need more electronics. They need someone with fashion sense to stock the clothes they sell. The staff was ok. The furniture selection was terrible. They should veer away from selling it. They have a few toasters and latte makers and a good jewelry variety. Most of it sold out. They are making obvious mistakes but theyre still in the game. I...
