What a huge store and Delight walk in when I saw holiday things were 80% off I spent a diligent amount of time walking around and putting things in my cart that were on sale thrilled until I got to the cash register why you ask well along my search I was looking for tapered candles old fashioned stick candles that burn I needed them in Kwanzaa colors so the first thing I asked is do you have them the cashier answered with a discouraging so if we had them they would be with a discounted items or in the back to which I said do you know if you actually carry them which she did not actually no even though she was directing me arbitrarily to two different areas that I did not want to revisit so I asked her if she could check if she actually had them in stock I don't know about you but people that work in shops should be versed in helping not discouraging but nonetheless she was surprised when whomever on the other end of her ear walkie said they do carry them and to my surprise they didn't even know where they were in the store so I dropped that need as it was wasting time and asked for prices on everything that was 80% off in my basket one thing came up 50% a colored string of lights one of two in the Christmas area when I inquired why it was 50% off I was told it was not Christmas yet I knew it clearly was so after a basket full of 80% off that total to $60 which is a lot of things I ask for the manager not only did that manager take forever II cashier closed so aligned formed when the manager after three calls finally came out he told me he be right with me and went and helped somebody else and well coming up to me announce to the line he was opening another register and they could go there still making everybody wait. Juan the manager try to explain in several different ways that this one item 50% off was not Christmas Even though it was the only strand in the entire store there was not another place for it showing 50% off he claimed it wasn't Christmas but it was seasonal for Christmas and it came from another store so they did not have a place for it there but no explanation as to why it was in the Christmas area which was all designated 80% off he offered me another 20% off button turn this was not off of the original price this was only after the 50% was removed which of course was not the overall bargain I was looking for nor was it the right thing to do after the amount of time I spent shopping or waiting for assistance it was a random item placed in the wrong place very specifically because there was no other place to put it so there for very misleading as there was no 50% off area only 80 and there was a second similar item in the exact same place justifiably this was a seasonal item for holiday time meaning it should have been 80% off so although I should have walked away from my entire purchase I did not I trust I will be not walking into that store again anytime soon it needs a competent manager and staff that care about their jobs and their patrons enough to understand what customer...
Read moreThe store is hit-or-miss when it comes to employees and there ability and willingness to assist us customers. I got bad encounters with employees who were rude and unhelpful and I've had good experiences with customers who were cheery and friendly and knowledgeable. I think it's important for employees to be knowledgeable when it comes to specialty stores. One thing that bothers me is that 10 minutes before they close they start ushering the customers up to the front of the store and won't let them go anywhere like they literally will stand next to you in line or the block off the aisle and the stores aren't that big it doesn't take 10 minutes to walk from one end to the other and if I get there 15 minutes before closing I know I can get what I need in less than 15 minutes and still get to the register check out and be out the door at closing time so I don't feel it's necessary to Usher us like cattle up to the front of the store when we still have 10 minutes before closing. The store closes at 9 except for Sundays of course, but I think they should allow customers to shop until the stores close in be less worried about getting out of there early. And I say that because I've heard employees talking like that. Also one other thing is the checkout line is usually pretty slow and not because there's several people in line but because the cashiers and older white lady especially takes so so so so so long and Chit Chats in between scanning an item like she'll scan an item chitchat for like a minute and then put it down and scan the other item to check so, tell me items are buying when I buy an items I don't want people talking about the items I buying doesn't matter what it is it's not up for discussion. LOL. But all in all not a bad location I've been to worst I've been to better. I...
Read moreI'm a little upset. I worked with the representative at the Custom Framing area. I was very specific about what I wanted and she seemed very clear about what I wanted. But some of the matte colors in my final product were wrong and one matte color was not included at all. I think it will still work in the space and honestly it took almost 3 weeks to have this finished so I'm just moving on ....but here's the lesson. You double check the names and serial numbers of the mattes you are using for the custom frame; write them down yourself. Do not trust the representative and double check that those same names are itemized on the invoice. The staff is great, although the representative that helped me when I picked it up and heard that it was wrong didn't apologize and just said that these are the names that are on the invoice and that's what we did. That is the case and I was very cordial and did not throw a hissy fit or anything. It just would have been nice to have her say I'm sorry.
I'm not sure where it went weird but ultimately the lesson is "double check or take photographs of the names yourself to ensure that you're clear about the items you chose, and insure those same names and serial numbers are on your invoice...
