This farmer's market has changed much over the years regarding the vendors. Seems more like the tented vendors and food trucks you'll find outside a music festival. Not as many farmers selling produce, or small businesses selling honey, nuts, deserts, and pastries. However, Porto's has a spot at this one on Wednesday's late afternoons. It gets very crowded so go early, opens 5-9pm. Because this market is set up in the parking lot outside Macy's at the Northridge Mall, to find immediate parking becomes difficult. Usually, there is plenty of parking. Music by local bands is provided. If you want a more authentic farmer's markets there are plenty of others to choose from in surrounding communities which are easy to find online. Still, the Northridge Farmer's Market is good enough for locals who don't want to venture too far for produce or other assorted merchandise like jewelry, apparel, hats or...
Read moreI stopped by the Northridge Farmers Market yesterday with my wife since we were planning on eating at CPK right next to it. My wife loves the yogurt that's being sold here and the best thing that they can do for you if you're planning on going to the mall or eat around the area is that they'll hold your yogurt in a cooler for you to pick up later. They have some other delicious food stand here as well like pupusas, chicken/meat on a stick, tamales, food trucks and etc. The service here can vary depending on the stand you go but we didn't have a bad experience. They also sell fruits and vegetables here as well that organic but just know you have to eat them fast because they go bad quick. They had a sign about no animal allow but it wasn't enforce when we were there. I parked at the movie theater area because it's easier to get in and out, it also have a lot of...

The worst part? One of the strawberries HAD A BITE OUT OF IT THAT WAS PUT FACING DOWN SO YOU WOULDNT NOTICE. Absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. I wish I could go get a refund, what a waste of time and money. Calling this a farmers market is a huge stretch. If you're looking for a farmers market, look elsewhere as there are 4 fresh fruit and veggie, 1 egg, and 1 honey stand. It's mostly food trucks and stalls, so if you're looking for those things this is your place, but if you want to buy produce/meats/etc find...
