This bakery, is an a very good location the problem, is that they have a very bad management. Since they open this location, they shouldn’t allow the people sale their vegetables at the entrance of the bakery, this gives a very bad image, to see all the homeless around the bakery. The owner and the manager, should had addressed this issue immediately. But they fail to do so. You will never see this kind of people or sales at the stores at “ PARIS BAGUETTE “ . why? Because they care, for their business and their customers, they want to have a positive image for people come to their location. They want their customers to feel safe while they’re sitting inside or just come to shop. It’s a pity you will see them there at the entrance with their garbage since AM to PM. They don’t see how bad impressions they give to this location. You don’t feel safe passing by or entering the bakery. If you care for your business, you must sorted out and make this bakery a nice and safe place to visit. If I see any improvement on this location maybe I can...
Read moreI came here after a very disappointing experience with a doc office on the block. Got myself a concha, wedding cookie, and an iced horchata latte which I highly recommend. They were sweet, the food/drink and the staff. They were very patient as I tried to speak very broken Spanish (not a native speaker but I like to learn other languages and try to speak peoples native tongue with them). Very smiley and kind.
I shouldn’t even be having the concha because sometimes gluten really messes up my stomach butttt I actually didn’t have a reaction with this one which supports my theory that some peoples “gluten allergy” is just a reaction to poorly processed baked goods. I think this place is a chain so you’d probably imagine the goods are processed but they seem good quality to me. That being said I’m no professional baker so who knows ¯(ツ)/¯
Happily stunned. Almost completely forgot about the shorty...
Read moreMy family and I are considering moving to the neighborhood, so I took a walk to assess its walkability. I'm glad to see that it seems friendly, but my main concern is safety. I have a son whom I cherish, and I want to ensure that his route to and from school is both safe and reliable. I realized I miscalculated the distance to public transportation; it's a 22-minute walk, which is quite a trek, but I think we can manage it.
I really enjoy the area around Western, so I stopped by a few local stores to explore. La Monarca Bakery & Cafe is one of the places I visited and had some amazing treats. I tried a delicious sausage and egg croissant, which they refer to differently in Spanish. It had a nice little kick, even without hot sauce! Overall, I really like this neighborhood and look forward to coming back with my wife for a coffee and sandwich...
