"Reality LA raised me as a Christian as I went from 23-yrs living an agnostic/atheist life, non-believing, rebellious in every way, didn't know God, had no idea who Jesus was, to plugging into community, having wisdom and truth poured into me constantly, never ending faithful prayers, getting saved, believer, to now a follower and married to Jesus Christ. My walk from dead to alive took about 4years. I was a believer but took me 1 year to finally surrender all and lay my life completely down for Jesus to make new. This church doesn't preach a message and then sprinkle scripture on top. God's word always comes first- Jesus always comes first and then the sermons bring clarity as to what the scripture is saying, who God is and what is character looks like, to finally how to apply the wisdom into our hearts and own lives. How to operate out of God's grace as opposed to trying to earn it or attain it.
There are about 3 community groups in every city so this church is completely all about family and serving one another. We are not meant to walk this walk alone and Jesus calls us to have an army of supporters to walk together with. We don't just meet once a week for community group and discipleship but these are the people in my life; my actual best friends. .Everyone is committed to each other because we're all committed to the mission of our church. We're committed to Jesus being the head of our church.
I can't even fathom how much restoration, peace, and joy this church brings me and everyone I've ever brought to Reality. We always all leave balling crying in joy and conviction. We never feel condemned or guilty or shameful because Jesus set us free and our church remind us of that. It's home for me. It's a larger church but when you finally find one that points everything to the gospel and the good news of Jesus Christ and they never make the church about anything else but Him, why wouldn't it be a big church. Isn't that what we all want? They have child care too for your kids, events all the time to get to know others, mission trips, outreach programs, counseling, volunteer work, and so much more. Come check us out!!! (Yes, I need prayer to not idolize my church because I...

Read moreThe preaching here is inspired and scholarly, too, and the music -- provided by a small band who perform a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary Christian songs -- is beautiful. Worshiping with this heartfelt community is a great blessing. I'm glad we found them, in the high school auditorium where they hold their packed Sunday services. Truly, the Lord is present with this impressively...
