5 stars is not nearly enough.
Julie was AMAZING. I am a 50 yr old crossdresser and usually feel very uncomfortable going to women's clothing sections or looking at the women's shoe section and this was my first serious learning for makeup basics and how to do it simple and natural.
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by one of the managers and she immediately made me feel welcome, comfortable and calm. I explained to her what I was a little early for the class and had some questions to see if what I got was right for me looking for she asked me a couple of questions and told me that the artist in charge of the class will be with me in a moment and will be able to answer my questions. Julie came up to me about a minute or two later and gathered a little more information, then had me sit down in the chair at the makeup center. She asked about foundation coverage and what kind of skin I have (dry or oily) and when I shrugged my shoulders, she said that she would do one side of my face one way and the other side another so that I could see the difference. She wanted to make sure that I understood what she was explaining while answering my questions and concerns. She even made some suggestions and gave me some ideas that I realized made perfect sense and would make a difference.
Julie was very sweet, warm, friendly, kind, very professional and so incredibly patient with me, as I asked a ton of questions (with a steps breakdown) to make sure I was doing everything right. I apparently was able to read her mind as each question that I asked, she said that she was either going to talk about that now or about to get to that in a couple of moments. She to the time to not just cover the material of the class but to briefly address my questions about other areas and said that she will have classes covering those topics. I really felt as if I was talking with and getting makeup tips from a friend. Julie made all of my fears and reservations including any discomfort melt away and she made me feel at home. She is a true representation of a precious gem of a human being.
As I was exchanging a couple of things and purchasing a couple more things, I asked the manager who happened to walk by, I told her everything I listed above and said that Julie is a gem, was amazingly patient and helpful. I am looking forward to the next classes. I would also mention that it is very obvious that Julie is not there just for a paycheck and that she truly and genuinely cares about her work and her clients.
I cannot recommend Julie and this store enough. 5 stars are not nearly enough for this young lady. I would give Julie a 20 on a 1 to 10 scale. There are so many companies that deal with "customer service" that can learn so much from Julie and what real customer service...
Read moreIf I could give this place -1 I would . I went to the sephora inside mall not the one that was inside jc penny . Customer service here is HORRIBLE I gave Sephora so many chances but today was my last one I’m done with Sephora they lost my business. I wanted to ask a question to one of workers and she saw me coming her way she IGNORED me and walk away. I then ask another worker if they had this make up kit I was looking for and she sent me to Disney store . UGH I specifically told her it was for a 18 year old . I think cause I was carrying my 6 month old and holding my two year old hand and the lady wanted to send us to Disney store . I felt discriminated because she sent me to Disney store because of kids . So then I ask another one of workers for help and she put me on waiting list I was literally there for ONE hour waiting and i saw 5 EMPLOYEES doing nothing just chit chatting about there weekend and FLIRTING with SECURITY guy from mall . I couldn’t stay any longer it was just to much my kids were already bored and I had to get out . But yes this was my Horrible experience and every time I go there there always something with there CUSTOMERS SERVICE I should have just gone with my gut and not go there any more ESPECIALLY after reading so many BAD REVIEWS and seeing videos on YOU TUBE about them. I still gave them one more chance and No! not shopping at Sephora...
Read moreI wanted to share my recent experience at one of your stores, as I was left feeling disappointed with the service I received.
When I entered the store, I inquired about the new mini tote bags being offered with a $50 purchase. The associate I spoke with seemed unaware of the promotion and had to check with someone at the register. After a few minutes, she confirmed the offer was available.
However, when I proceeded to check out, I had to mention the tote bag again to the cashier, who informed me that the offer was only available to VIB members. I asked her to double-check, and after speaking with a manager, she confirmed that the promotion was available to everyone with a $50 purchase.
It seemed there was some confusion and a lack of clarity regarding the promotion, and it felt as though there was some RELUCTANCE in offering the tote bags. I understand that mistakes can happen, but I was disappointed by the inconsistent information and the need for me to follow up multiple times.
Thank you for taking the time to consider...
