We saw Sleep Token here in 2025 for the last date of their tour, and I am not one that is usually quick to dramatic discourse but I may never go to a show here again.
For a while we were not so sure we would even be let into the venue. After waiting in a massive line for an hour we were then told that our valid resale tickets were not accepted and that we would have to purchase new tickets. This happened to thousands of people, many of whom got turned away long before us and ended up just leaving entirely and not seeing the show even though they had paid for tickets. We bought our tickets from TickPick and the venue was saying any ticket sold by StubHub, TickPick, or any other ticketing platform besides AXS directly were invalid. A huge portion of the tickets for the show were resale tickets since bots buy up everything at the time of sale, and that is just the state of the industry as unfortunately as that is. The venue was about to have a sold out show be half empty. Many people ahead of us had expensive floor seats ($600 tickets+) and were denied entrance. This is straight up theft. If you do not want your tickets to be resold through other ticketing platforms you have to ensure that they are not being sold anywhere else, you can’t just decide that they are not valid. In any case, AXS already got their money for the tickets they sold, and the whole thing is ludicrous.
I don’t know what happened but eventually the venue decided all these tickets were now valid and everyone rushed to the single entrance in a fit of chaos. Most of the attendees, including us, missed the opening band even though we arrived with plenty of time before they went on. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because once we were inside the venue (by the grace of the god Sleep themself) everything was great. The drinks were good, the seats were comfortable (not that I sat much) and the sound quality was great. Everything about the show was amazing, but those people who got turned away and didn’t happen to stick around for when the venue changed their mind missed it entirely and I...
Read moreGetting into the venue was an absolute nightmare. We had resale tickets for Sleep Token, because the original sale tickets were of course bought up immediately by bots and scalpers. We get to the venue, and we're told we need to go to the box office because our tickets were purchased through a 3rd party vendor, even though the tickets showed as AXS. The lines were MASSIVE, and people with resale tickets were being told by venue staff that their tickets wouldn't be honored and they'd have to buy new tickets... after already paying hundreds of dollars per ticket. After standing around for over an hour and completely missing the opening band, staff finally announced that they'd honor resale tickets. Probably because Sleep Token was about to have the final stop of their tour be played to a half empty stadium.
Once inside, the experience was great and the show was epic. But damn, so much unnecessary stress and a lot of people left when turned away, losing...
