Read moreEXCELLENT CON VENUE! I've attended LACC for several years now, I've been to LA's Comic Con but most importantly I visit every year for Anime Expo! It's such a sizable venue that is perfect for any convention setting. There's rooms for large panels such as the Main Events and Petree Hall. Also, plenty of small, medium and semi-large rooms for smaller panels or meetings. The convention center is split between two exhibition halls, west and south. Most of the large halls and panel rooms can be found on the west side. There's also a cafe, coffee shop and plenty of restrooms. There's a connecting corridor between the west and south halls that also has panel rooms above, a large dance hall, and a few restrooms on the way to the south hall.
The south hall is known for its humongous exhibition hall, which has plenty of room for a multitude of activations and booths. Below the south exhibition hall is Kentia Hall, another large hall where conventions host artist alley or local vendors. Kentia hall has a food stop while the main south exhibition level has a food court, coffee and plenty of seating!
Overall, the convention center is kept pretty clean despite the myriads of people and foot traffic. The convention food is OK, not the best, but some of it is tasty! Staff are fairly polite, except for security. There's plenty of entrances for easy access and LACC is accessible for people with disabilities, I spotted a few elevators and ramps. There's also escalators for tired con-goers.
Parking starts around $25-30 for most events but it changes according to the popularity of the event. LACC is close to Crypto Arena, several upscale hotels and plenty of pricey eateries. If you want to experience DTLA, this is a great...
