I saw this driving by and was excited to see it there because it adds another great restaurant bar for the block.
So when I entered it was really nice and the setup for watching games looks ideal. Now there’s no host and it’s open seating with ordering via the QR code on the table.
I had their fish & chips, Caesar salad, mango cart michelada and their snake bite. For the price, I was disappointed overall. I was amazed by the interior design for sports but their food was very mediocre. The fries were delicious, crispy and flavorful.
Now the fried fish was too bready and not really that good. The breading was so hard that you can just pulled the fish meat with a fork. Now the Caesar salad was healthy, meaning no flavor and the dressing was very uninspired/bland.
Now to the positives, the snake bite was excellent along with the mango cart Michelada. Two drinks I recommend to get.
Drinking water is through a jug on the wall or if you ask a server or go to the bar. If you’re gonna have that setup, have a water dispenser and ice maker too because that jug empties quick.
Also you can accidentally sit there for a while without knowing that it’s a self serve restaurant. Hopefully a server will tell you that. You can open a tab via their website. The food came out pretty fast and it was a pretty straight forward ordering experience.
Also at the end of your dining, the website asks for a tip, but the interaction with servers are very limited to just dropping off your self ordered food, so I tipped accordingly.
I’d definitely come back here again for any sporting events, but not for the food. I’d probably just go to yard house instead. It’s a very new spot so I think they can improve their food...
Read moreCame here to watch game 2 of the World Series. Showed up early to secure a table but shared our table with another party as they didn’t have anywhere else to sit. Our table was already full when we get asked twice if it was ok for us to share our table with even more people. First time we said no the second time we accepted because we all scooched together to let 2 people sit down even though we clearly didn’t have enough room. During the game we noticed that our tv had a 1 minute delay to the game so it made it hard for us to cheer or boo whenever something happened. The tv was clearly not synced to the tvs inside or the other tv that was out on the patio. Multiple times we asked the server and management to either reset the tv or try to come up with a solution. We were not the only table to complain as both tables to the side of us also complained. No effort was made to do anything about the tv. We were finally told that it was an issue with the channel? Even though every other tv had the same channel on? And then when we finally ordered a pizza it came out unsliced and hard as rock. I would never recommend this place to anyone to watch the game. You’re better off going to yard house or toms watch bar...
Read moreCame in because I was choking with a dry throat and really needed water. I was mortified and apologetic but super scared and it was the nearest spot with water while we were figuring out where to go next. V was AMAZING and took care of me immediately and even offered one for the road. My friend and I were in the middle of trying to figure out where to eat and even though she decided she wanted something other than burgers and chicken (and we ultimately had to leave), it didn't matter - they still treated us so kindly like regular guests and with excellent customer service. Thank you so much to V and the security at the front for looking after us and going above and beyond! I love 33 Taps, especially the one in Silverlake. I was wondering if this was new because I'm downtown for work very often and I'd never seen it before - turns out they just opened this year in February 2024! I'm so glad they opened this location up right across the LA Convention Center! We've desperately needed a little more life in this area for quite some time now ❤️...
