EDITED 09/03/250 Orsini management commented to just contact management, but I truly do not see the point of more complaining to them. They know the elevators are broken—and they are still broken. They certainly knew about my issue with my keys. Talking to them doesn’t matter and it certainly won’t undo my being late to work.
Real talk, let me give you a run down of what it’s actually like to live here in this “luxury” apartment. The fire alarms are constantly on. I’ve been woken up at all hours of the night, from 2 am to 12 am to 5 am. It’s both loud and absolutely frustrating. Next, the gates to get into Orsini 1(which is the main Orsini building where the management and resident services rests) is constantly malfunction and at times, won’t open at all, even when you click and click. It’s as much fun as you could imagine. Next, the mail. There’s no getting anything to your door because there are elevator keys, not codes, so if you get food or grocery delivers, geniunely, good luck. Sometimes the office will hold them for you in their office, sometimes maybe it will be put in the lockers, but so much of the time, it will just be waiting in the lobby to get stolen because they won’t accept groceries. If you live in Orsini 2 or 3, there is no fence or gate around the lockers so if your delivery is left on the ground, I promise, it will get looted or fully stolen immediately. Next, the apartments are not great. I don’t know if I just got unlucky, but my hot water has been shut off so many times (I pay all bills on time). My sink is constantly clogged (because there is something wrong with the pipes). My door has an electric key that last month, expired without any warning. I was trying to leave for work and it just straight up would not lock my door. I called the office and waited for nearly a hour and forty minutes for maintenance to come, just to find out that there was nothing wrong with my lock and it was my key that was expired. I then went all the way down to the office to reset the key. I was nearly two hours late for work because I could not lock or unlock my own door.
In what way is that okay?
Lastly! The elevators. I live on the eighth floor. There are two elevators that lead to that floor (elevator 2&3). elevator one leads to the 7th floor. Elevator one has been broken for weeks (maybe even more than a month). Elevator 2 is constantly broken, stuck on one floor or another. Elevator 3 has been broken for a week.
This “luxury” apartment is a nightmare. Eight floors is no joke when you’re carrying five bags of heavy groceries up eight flights of stairs for a week straight. It’s exhausting and this apartment is not worth the money you pay. My rent is nearly 3000 a month. Three elevators broken at once for longer than a day is ridiculous, and management frankly doesn’t care enough to offer even the slightest bit of compensation for the extreme inconvenience to rent paying individuals.
It’s such a shame because this complex has so much potential to be great. The staff have always been kind and welcoming, but the downsides have been so numerous and for the most part unaddressed. It’s exhausting. I will admit the fire alarms have been less frequent than before, but a simple “sorry for that” isn’t going to cut it. Truly, I cannot stress enough that I have nothing against the staff here, because they are truly kind and good people, but I feel like I’m wronged one way or another every week, living in an apartment that frankly, sucks.
The mail system is flawed. There should be a way for drivers to deliver mail to the concierge lockers outside of normal business hours (9 am to 7 pm I believe). 9 am is way too late for delivery since so many packages come an hour earlier.
There should be a way to enter a code in the elevator, not the key, for food delivery to come to the door. Or at the very least an intercom system where you can buzz people up. There should be at least one elevator that will bring you to the eighth floor.
I’m just tired of this.
I promise you, do not move here. It will be...
Read moreThe worst place I have ever lived with the worst “management” I have ever encountered.
Let me start off saying that I have lived in many apartments due to my job that requires me to constantly move to different cities. I have many experiences to compare and this is by far the worst.
When I say this is the worst place and worst management I mean it with everything that I am.
First of all they scam you from the very start, when I first saw my apartment (before we moved in) I noticed just a single homeless person outside on the street (keep in mind this is a street that ONLY services Orsini) as soon as I noticed it I SPECIFICALLY ASKED our leasing agent at the time if this is frequent and if this is something they often have an issue with, his exact words were no. I literally made sure to ask that question because it was not something I wanted to personally veiw on a daily basis.
Two weeks went by (the area was covered with addicts who literally deficate and trash the streets) and when I called resident services to complain they were like “oh yeah sorry, nothing we can do”. But excuse me, that exact question that I asked when I was showed the apartment was that is an issue I was told no, she then proceeded to tell me that they have always struggled with homelessness in that area and that when I was originally showed the apartment the city had just cleaned and she doesn’t understand why the agent told me that. How convenient for management to lie, and to cover up an disgusting apartment when the resident makes the effeort to prevent a certain issue.
When we first moved in we noticed that the floors and walls were extremely dirty, more so the floors more then anything. We even had a maintenance manager said it looked like no one had came in to properly clean the apartment. KEEP IN MIND, our previous lease had ended so we had no choice to move into a dirty apartment. Management “apologized” and never gets back to us, and to this day, (almost five months later NO ONE has came to clean our carpet after we scheduled two appointments (after waiting and waiting for a single response from management) and both times the carpet cleaners NEVER SHOWED.
At this point my friend tells me that he needs a new place, I was already annoyed with management and told me friend that it has a good location, my friend moves in and we’re suppose to receive a referral credit towards our rent (almost four months later we still haven’t received the credit and we’ve told management three times now and nothing has been done). The best part is my friend moving in, and leaving his $1,000 bike in the bike “area” because Orsini doesn’t allow you to have certain items on your balcony therefore they told him to put it in the bike area, hilarious, don’t have more then two plants on the balcony but enjoy your veiw of the homeless we lied about!!!
So my friend leaves his bike there, when he tried to receive his bike management lost the key to the room. A week goes by and every single bike that was in that room was STOLEN, every one. Where was security? Why was no one held responsible?
I’ll save you anymore details but so far our AC, oven and washing machine has broken. Took around a week to get each item fixed. We had an ant infestation that wasn’t addressed until a week later but at the point we took of it ourselves. The elevators are almost always down, the pool is frequently closed or there is no pool furniture, the doors that make you feel secure are never locked.
Residents are constantly calling management telling them of broken items, or people walking into the properties empty handed while leaving with stolen items taken from inside on Orsini and it seems like all we get is a sorry, no action takes place only the things you want to hear.
Do not even get me started on the amount of Air Bnbs here & how it ruins everything.
This place is a joke, as a professional who works for one of the largest companies in the US, I have no idea how they are still operating considering their lack of care and...
Read moreMy wife looked at a few apartments and We really liked Orsini their display model looked nice/clean, and seemed to have many amenities. My wife went ahead and rented one of the units. When I came down to helped her move My first impression was Shock. when I walked in I saw dirty floors, crack tiles, parts of the baseboards were missing. The wood floors had deep scratches cracked tiles in the kitchen and bathrooms .. the apartment just looked worn down. It seemed to be that no one really took an interest in cleaning and make sure it was up to par for the next renter. During the process of moving in, I went to the front counter several times and no one was there. Finally, hours later; I saw a woman named Julia in one of the offices and told her all the issues, She was very nice and supposedly put in a repair request. During the move, we still have not unpacked all the boxes and my wife decided to put a small load into the washer and dryer proceeding to put 2-3 inches of water all over the floor. I called the office no answer, I went down to the front counter and no one was there !! Finally after 15 minutes of calling someone answered and their excuse was that they were short staffed but they would TRY to get someone there to help fix the problem. I asked him please send a person up with a mop and bucket to help clean up the water (which never happened ) Meanwhile going up and down the elevator, I saw many cleaning personnel with mops, brooms, and different cleaning supplies on different levels ). My wife’s expensive clothes in boxes got wet and she and I were on our hands and knees, sopping up water and squeezing it into a sauce pan with no help from the company. We also realized that the icemaker was not working, and the microwave light was out. Many hours later a man shows up and says they will replace the washer and dryer. But it will take 3 days and the ice maker will be reset and take 48 hours to possibly work. I was so upset about everything it took me a while to calm down to proceed and write management a letter about the poor state of repair the apartment was in and the lack of help with the flooding emergency. I have to say that After my letter to management, they showed up that morning to fix the problems. and replace the wash and dryer right away. (miraculously they had a brand new one after saying it would take three days )There were four maintenance people Very polite and courteous, BUT the 4 maintenance people had no clue what they were doing. They did not do the job correctly. They brought the wrong tools. There are special tools used to cut angles for baseboards, one of the guys just used a regular hand saw, so non of the joints fit correctly it looked ridiculously bad I would have been embarrassed. Quite a few things that I asked them to fix and they agreed on didn’t get done. It’s sad. It’s a beautiful place but if these maintenance people do this type of job on all these units, this place is gonna look totally run down after a few years ..because of incompetence not knowing how to do the job correctly, or simply because they don’t take the extra time to make their work look halfway decent. It seemed to me I knew more about their job than they did. And I told him how it should be done . I’m a realtor(family members and friends that are contractors as well ) We have contractors and handyman do work for us before and after escrow on a pieces of real estate. Reputable contractor with have fired these maintenance people, let alone the office staff that is in charge of overseeing maintenance. I posted just a few of the pictures to give you an idea. It’s sad because this place obviously started out as a really nice apartment building and it’s been let go to disrepair because of incompetence. Last two pictures are before, and after...
