This review is for their meat department. Not sure who runs the meat department, but they seem to use classically deceptive tactics here. I shop here almost every week and would definitely recommend shopping for everything besides their meat. I repeat, do not purchase their meat unless you enjoy throwing your money in the trash.

Pretty in the front, garbage in the back: Do not buy the pre-packaged thinly sliced brisket (์ฐจ๋Œ). The meat may look amazing, but beneath the first row of meat, all you'll find is fat. I threw away half of what I paid for because it was basically sliced fat.

Packaged on vs sell by: Be extremely cautious when you buy pre-packaged marinated meat. I bought some marinated short rib that had they claimed had been packaged on the same day, but when I opened it the next day, I instantly smelled something sour. It was hard to tell due to the color of the marinade, but most of the meat looked very oxidized (turned brown/grey) when I was able to take a closer look. I was very confused, but I didn't want to risk getting food poisoning so I threw away the entire $20 package of meat. I'm guessing that the meat had been sitting out on display until it's "sell by" date before they decided to package it with a new "made on" date. That's just my guess, but I'm not sure what else could've spoiled this meat.

If you want meat that is higher quality and won't give you food poisoning, I would recommend shopping at H Mart. Their prices are higher, but at least you won't be...

I like their price and quality for vegetable to make variety of Korean kimchi. And the workers are almost Mexicans and they always talk about Korean people of characters and behavior with critical way which means they love to judge people on their own way of thoughts those are not always right and the proper way to say and express while they work. And I even can hear right behind me with loud voice with English and even Spanish. And I always like the fish count man who is kind and he even speaks little Korean words that looks more considerable to work at Korean markets. The only cons are the expensive price of some items but I understand why and hopefully they have sale for these items not just for little kinds of items. And I dislike some people donโ€™t know how to respect each other when they shop with basic manner in USA even if they are Korean or not. Specially I donโ€™t want people of different nations see Korean as an uneducated people. They should consider other customer when they shop without mean or out of manner specially older people. This is not Korea and theyโ€™d better live in Americans way since they live in here. Also I think the resister area is not very convenient to check out. I wish they develop the display at least for check out for customers. But I alway like their kind packing helpers but not for cashiers...

Retraining the staffs, Zion Market!

I lined up where cashier name Susana is. This happened 20mins ago. This old guy in front of us having some kind of issue with the Zion market's application. We've been just standing there and waiting to pay, people starting to form a long line behind us. So I told that cashier, Hold his transaction, help us first (Because the guy in the front was being un-mannered, making everybody wait due to his own problem)

She proceed ours but she just threw 2 plastic bags, expressing some kind of wrong attitude on me assuming just because I said that, And didn't even fully bagged our grocery items. Wow, Kidding me? Where is the manager when you need it, huh? You think you can do whatever you want? Missy, you got no customer service mindset.

You (Cashier) think my action was unfair? No. I believe I did the right thing because customers in the line was starting to looking at us where we are and making faces 'what the hell is going on the front?' We don't want to be like that customer just because of your untrained staff. Come on.

Please be thoughtful, and bring your damn critical thinking skills when the issue comes up! Cashier ain't easy job. If something happens, act quickly and resolve it. Don't want to work? Do you think you can get some easy money with it?...

Based on other reviews, it seems the staff, including the managers, dont care how it's rated here. I bought a jjigae for 8.99 on 17th and kept it in a refrigerator until 19th to eat it but it was already spoiled. What a waste of money!! The cover has a "sell by" date of 2/18 but it seems it may have already near spoiling when I bought it. Although they "appear" to have a low sale price on many items (not this jjigae) on fruits and produce, oftentimes, I noticed they are near the end of shelf life. Their produce always get spoiled within a few days from purchase while other markets' items tend to stay fresh at least more than a week. I have been going to other markets and only shop at zions if things are to be consumed within a few days. This type of quality is not acceptable especially since there are other competitors that have more fresh products.

It was huge and had everything that I was looking for But the people who work there were so rude The cashier seemed so angry because I bought so many items, maybe. But I live quite far from Korea town, so I had to buy many things once I go there. Moreover, I found out that they are selling expired sausage for over a month which purchased on 10/28/20 I called the supermarket, and the representative was not pleasant to talk to me at all and told me that I have to bring it with a receipt. What are they going to do with the expired item? I doubt. I live far from the market, so I don't think I am going back there for only 5.99. I won't go to this supermarket anymore. It was the first time visiting there and going to be the last time in my life. Even though it's smaller, I will go to galleria or Hmart instead.

The mangoes I bought less than a week ago are rotting before it is ripened. I have never seen mangoes rot so quickly like this, so it is hard to see this as my fault in storage. Be aware this market cause there was a consumer who have made the same complaints about mangoes. Also about anchovy. The manager refused to refund these items. Then I asked him if I could upload this pic, and he said it did not matter, so I uploaded it. It may be a small sum, but I just asked for the rightful rights of consumers, but it was refused. You should not hold consumers accountable for distribution problems such as refrigeration and freezing.
