Everyone has their own preferences for what they like in a good ice cream. Excited to try Louisville Cream ice cream, I came away from sampling two flavors, Coffee with Bourbon Cream and Vanilla Two Ways, disappointed. Disappointed with the weak flavors and disappointed with the texture. Turkey Hill Natural is a much better ice cream for flavor and texture, and 1/2 gallon of Turkey Hill is about one-half the price of one pint of Louisville Cream ice cream. Haagen-Dazs is a favorite of mine, and if it were a 9 on a scale with10 being best, I'd place Louisville Cream at maybe a 3. Seems to me a quality ice cream doesn't need gums and fillers. I'm certain some customers prefer the puffed or gummed ice cream, and perhaps the gums slow melting, but I want taste and texture and don't worry about melting. I actually enjoy the taste of melted ice cream in my bowl of ice cream. I suspect I won't eat this ice cream again. Not even for 1/3 the price. I didn't enjoy the flavors, texture nor the taste. Perhaps you'll like it. I hope so. I like seeing local businesses do well. But I just can't be a regular because I truly enjoy the taste and texture of delicious ice cream, especially at my age when calories matter, and Louisville Cream falls short of my preference in delicious ice cream. Here's to great ice cream and the pleasure derived from cosuming it! Update: Normally an ice cream-loving-freak, I dislike the taste of this brand so much I've had to force myself to continue eating my two pints rather that throw it out and waste ...tonight finding it necessary to add Hersey's chocolate syrup. This is the first ice cream brand I've had to force myself to keep to prevent wasting it by melting it down the drain. Can't wait to finish it and buy ice cream I can enjoy eating!

This is a really cute shop in downtown Louisville (Nulu). We had seen their Instagram page and wanted to cool down on a warm day. There is seating on the outside / inside, but it's limited. They also have a standing bar to eat your desserts there. When you walk in, the menu is directly to the left. Unfortunately, it was a bit busy, so we didn't really have a long time to try and figure out their Instagram configurations. There isn't much room to "stand to the side" to look at the menus. As for the ordering process, it goes quite smoothly. Similar to Cold Stone (order on one end. Pay at the other). The pricing is about what you'd expect from a little shop from downtown. For two shakes (plain) and two cookies, it was $18.85. Lastly, they use real milk from JD Country Farms. So, just keep that in mind if you have a sensitive stomach. Overall, this is a great place to grab a dessert with family or a date.

Yesterday I visited Louisville cream for the first time at the recommendation of a good friend. I ordered the "buttered brioche sundae" with the "toasted marshmallow topping" and I'm not sure if they misheard me or if I got someone else's order because I ended up with "balsamic strawberry sundae" and was already two bites in before I realized the mistake. Taking the error in stride I continued with my treat because balsamic strawberry sundae had been a consideration in ordering. It was good though I'm not sure about the little toasted Crouton things that came with it, the toasted marshmallow topping was great and the whipped cream was delicious and it came with a high-quality cherry on top which I loved- I could just eat a cup of those cherries. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu and I'll be bringing friends with me.

Look. I need to be clear. I take ice cream seriously. Not the "oh my god like pay attention to me this is serious" your girlfriend says level of serious, but more like "you've been selected for a special mission and this message will self destruct" serious. You might think I'm joking, but I'm not, and this isn't the life I chose, this is the life that chose me.

Now that that's out of the way you know you can believe me when I say that Louisville Cream is the best udder by-product I have put between my luscious lips since discovering Lucky Charms with chocolate milk when I was 7.

Their seasonal flavors are exceptional and unique, kind of like casting Tyrese Gibson in the Fast and the Furious franchise. We can't explain why Tyrese did a good job in the same way we can't explain why Pistachio Honeycomb or East Atlanta Cookie Dough just makes you feel like nothing else matters. It's heavenly and brings you back to earth at the same time.

I know what you're thinking, ice cream this good, located in Nulu, it has to be expensive. It's delicious, it's mildly fancy, and there must be the Louisville standard 18% hipster tax if you sell anything within 100 yards of a brewery (which is everywhere). But the truth is about $6 gets you enough ice cream to hate yourself for about 35 minutes after you're finished. But chances are you're getting out for less.

Take your kids, take your girlfriend, or even your wife on the side. It's a good first date spot, or just a casual Tuesday with friends.

You owe it to yourself...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Louisville Cream: The Reason I No Longer Trust Other Ice Cream.

I came to Louisville Cream expecting good ice cream… but what I got was a full-blown life-altering experience. 🍦✨ One bite and I swear I saw my childhood flash before my eyes—except better, because past me had no idea ice cream could taste this elite.

The flavors?? Unreal. Unique, creamy, perfectly balanced—not just sugar and coldness like some lesser ice creams I won’t name. Every scoop is a work of art, and I’m starting to think they’ve unlocked some sort of dessert sorcery. 🪄🔥

The vibe?? So fun. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like a kid again but in a way cooler, more aesthetically pleasing setting. Like, yes, I will be ordering the largest possible serving while pretending I’m “just here for a little treat.”

Final thoughts? Louisville Cream is dangerously good. I now crave it at all times and am fully considering adding “ice cream connoisseur” to my résumé just so I have an excuse to keep coming back. If you haven’t been yet, fix that immediately. Your taste buds...
