Whiskey Row in Louisville is an absolute must-visit! The entire area is packed with history, charm, and amazing energy. We visited in afternoon, I did not care for it. I like Bourbon but this is a group of bars with loud music just like you'd find in any downtown. Only difference is they threw a 'Bourbon' sign out front and charge double of other places and presto you've got Whiskey Row. Folks eating out of trash cans and junkies unfortunately as well. Left and went to the NULU area which has a much calmer outside court where you can get food and beverage from several places and peacefully enjoy it. NULU was good. Whiskey Row was bad...

If you don't plan and make reservations for the major distilleries downtown you are out of luck. Some you can't do just a tasting. Angel's Envy's website wasn't working so they said show up first thing. We did and they were already fully booked! Very very disappointing. Also unless you adore pub food there's no food...
