UPDATE #2: Don’t buy the fresh cut meats here either! I don’t know if the workers are that incompetent or they just don’t care??? Today I ordered a pound of salami and half of it was bad. Brown/gray edges and all. The deli clerk cut up the old log which was spoiled and opened a new one to finish the pound. They couldn’t even be bothered with slicing it the same thickness. Terrible. Like who runs this place??? I am officially DONE shopping here. UPDATE: I only shop here because it is convenient. Watch the pre cut deli meat section too. Went to get some deli meat for my children’s lunches and I picked up a pack that was packed 4 days prior with a sell by date 7 days out! It smelled like feet! Smelly sweaty feet and rot. I was so grossed out that I just bought Oscar Meyer bologna and left. It took me washing my hands several times to get the smell off of them. You can’t keep lunch meat for 7 days…. 4-5 days tops. I doubt the meat was only a few days old…. It takes a long time for lunch meat to spoil like that. Furthermore, there were other questionable brown discolored packages of salami. Fortunately I didn’t get to smell those…. Don’t buy the pre cut here. Small town Giant. Smaller selection, smaller shopping crowd. Bought fresh cut fruit twice and it was bad, have to be careful with the items that are fresh because a smaller crowd shops here so I supposed fresh items aren’t bought and circulated as much.

We bought this cheese on August 9, 2025 from the Harleysville Giant. Opened the cheese to find mold and that it expired in March 2025?? How is a grocery store selling food that expired FIVE months ago?? The expiration date just got overlooked for months and was still put on the shelf? It is clear that their dairy products are not being rotated properly. Same with their produce. Strawberries and blueberries in the store are consistently moldy. Vegetables and potatoes rarely seem fresh and go bad within a couple of days of purchasing. I’ve even had an employee in the produce department come up and tell me to avoid certain vegetables, knowing that they weren’t fresh. After buy 5 month expired mozzarella cheese, it really makes you question the quality and safe-handling of the food sold here. Being our local grocery store, we waste a lot of money here on food that is not edible.

This is the garlic that I picked up today, August 17, 2024. Every clove in this 5 pack was black and mouldy! Totally disgusting!!!! I WILL NEVER be back to this store!! I'll return it but given I took a special trip to have garlic for company TONIGHT! Now there is a second trip TO A DIFFERENT STORE so I can make a dinner for guests that will not get sick! I've never been so offended or disgusted from anything I've purchased from a grocery store chain. It's worse than ever. There are two stores nearby, Landi and Hennigs, where I've NEVER seen this kind of issue.

Clean store. Well stocked but I was charged the wrong price for some items I purchased. Now I have to make a second trip back to ask for a refund. I mean it was like 3.00 but every penny counts in this economy./UPDATE... I was contacted by the store for more information on my pricing issue. I like that Giant was quick to respond to see if they could help. I have followed their instructions and I am waiting for a reply...Stay tuned.... UPDATE!!!! Giant stores saw my review and contacted me via email and phone. The Giant representative acknowledged my concern and made the pricing error RIGHT!. The rep was kind and understanding and told me how I could get my refund. Great job Giant! You have made me a customer for...
