My first two experiences with this restaurant I didn't even order because trying to was too frustrating. When I called to ask if they had sushi lunch specials the woman on the phone said they didn't. I wasn't home and didn't have the menu I had there to look for myself. I didn't order then, but another day I tried to order from the sushi lunch specials that I saw were actually on the menu. I wanted to order eel and avocado rolls, but they only had eel and cucumber and wouldn't make it with avocado instead. So again I didn't order. When I tried ordering again I ordered summer rolls and asked to add avocado in place of the pork. I was told there wouldn't be a charge for that. I also ordered shrimp mei fun with Singapore seasoning, but not the Singapore style because I wanted shrimp, not mixed meat. When I picked up my food, the total was much more than I expected. Not only did they charge and extra for the avocado in place of the pork when they said they wouldn't, but they upgraded my mei fun to Singapore style without informing me and added a $1 extra charge to that as well. In addition to that they had just changed their menu prices, which I thought were rather high to begin with, and neglected to mention on the phone that the menu that I've only had for a few months was no longer up to date and that my order would cost more. To make things even better, when I got home there was no avocado in my summer rolls. I ended up being charged $6.75 for two rather small summer rolls that only had lettuce, shrimp, and noodles inside. The container of peanut sauce for the summer rolls had only about a tablespoon of sauce in it and barely filled 1/4 of the little cup. The only thing they did about it in the restaurant was take the extra $1 off of the mei fun that they added for no reason to begin with anyway. The food is ok, but not worth it. The shrimp in my mei fun tasted off/old and like baking soda, which is something restaurants sometimes add to seafood/meat to keep it from spoiling as fast when it's close to going bad. Also my mei fun, which was supposed to have vegetables in it like onions, carrots, mushrooms, cabbage, and snow peas, only had a few sprouts, no other veggies. Never going...
Read moreI have eaten here and the food is very good but today I went to sit down and eat being super bowl Sunday we were the only people in the restaurant . Before my meal came out I went to is the bathroom after noticing someone was in there I waited until the left and went to go about my business. When I went to wash my hand there was no soap in either of the dispensers that they had available. I immediately left the bathroom and informed the front staff that I was going to leave. After asking why I told her and she refused to believe me and she stormed off to answer a phone call. My wife and I left and enjoyed a wonderful meal at...
Read moreI went to JJ's after my daughters Lacrosse tournament. I'm not really from the area, so I used google to find the place. It had good reviews, so we tried it. Boy am I glad we did. Its tucked into a plaza strip that has a walmart and a GNC nutrition..so its unassuming. Inside you'll find a nice and clean eatery with pleasant staff. We had the JJ's wings as the appetizer..and they were some of the best wings we've ever had. Just terrific.
Next was the sushi course for me, again, superb. My kids had chinese food and they loved it. This place is fantastic, dont think about it,...
