TOURIST TRAP. Our guide recommended this place and made it seem like an authentic Italian hole in the wall restaurant. (Not knocking the guide they repeat what they are told) we arrived to a parking lot filled with other coach busses, walked in to see a huge building with multiple dining rooms, full to the brim with tourist, very authentic… no locals in sight. The waitstaff were very unfriendly and extremely hostile, and clearly did not like that Americans in a clearly tourist trap did not speak Italian. They aggressively grabbed my shoulder while spit firing the three meal options as if I had a second to order, then got visibly and audibly frustrated when people at my table asked them to repeat the options. They brought a salad out first which tasted like plastic and had the smell of lemon Lysol, we attempted to eat the salad but after only 2 bites gave up in fear of being sick. The salad was very wilted like it went out of date days ago. We eventually stacked all the full bowls of salads in one spot on a corner to make them aware we were finished. A guitarist came out and played 4 strange choices for Italian music then walked around with a tip jar. (Not pushy but strange)Then final course came which was pasta for me and it tasted like cheap boxed pasta and watered down pasta sauce (very authentic). They took 15 minutes after the pasta arrived to remove the salad bowls that were stacked in the corner of the very small table. One member of our table ordered the pizza which hadn’t come before 30 minutes into our pasta being delivered. I had to wave the waiter down and ask when my friends pizza would arrive, we were all done eating. He grabbed the order paper in disbelief, pulled his paints up by the crouch, and walked away. Another 10 minutes go by and the pizza finally arrives. The words to describe this pizza was burnt, flavorless, and soggy. Didn’t know burnt and soggy could be in the same meal. And other members of my group didn’t Receive their pizza till much later, I just asked and got it sooner. The best part of the meal was the beer included in the €17 meal. Overall terrible place clearly meant to entice...
Read moreCalled, placed order and we were told on the phone that our order was number 71. Arrived, parked in what seemed like a line of vehicles parked to go inside and pickup their order. Seating available inside and outside of the building. Mask required sign on door. Saw people without masks while they were sitting at table eating inside and outside. Saw people walk inside without masks to pickup their order. I entered, asked the lady in the cashier window for my order, told her that my order is 71, she did not see 71, I told her what was on my order, she found my order, I signed merchant receipt copy, kept the customer receipt and I heard the lady tell the kitchen personnel that order 69 is here to pickup. When I heard that, I told her that someone on the phone told my wife that our order was 71. The lady took my customer receipt. I stood near the kitchen door and waited for a long time. Saw other people come in to pickup their order; orders 68, 70 and 71. I heard and saw that order 69 was ready. When another person came inside and said his order was 71, I listened to his order and what he had was not the same as my order. He for his food. I asked that customer, what was in his order, he told me. I talked to the lady and told her that my order was supposed to be order 71 but that other customer just picked up 71. So she got another employee to talk to me about my order. I told him what was on my order, he found my order and it was order 69 and he brought me the receipts that I signed earlier on. Have gave me my food and I was finally on my way. The lady in the window taking and handling orders was nice. The gentleman that found my rider was nice too. From what I experienced, they need to improve their order process and be a bit more organized with their orders. Told my wife and she confirmed that they told her that our order number was 71 when it was...
