PORCH+VINE — Restaurant in Luray

I was very excited to try out Porch+Vine and my expectations were met with amazing results!

Food I ordered the butternut squash with chèvre mousse, and Brussels sprouts as sides. They were a delightful surprise! I wanted to be a little adventurous with the butternut squash, which I ended up devouring because the mousse added a nice contrast between the sweet and nutty squash and the creamy and tangy goat cheese. For the entree, I had the short ribs. I love short ribs, but I'm not a fan of making them myself. I'm glad Porch + Vine had it on the menu, and I was really interested. It was fall-apart tender and the rich sauce complemented the mushrooms and crispy onions perfect. I decimated it, happily. There were no survivors.

Service Aside from the food (drool), I have high praise for the staff as well. They were attentive and the service was excellent! I met the bartender before I got seated and she was welcoming and friendly. My server happily helped give some recommendations and made sure we were well taken care of. I even got a chance to meet the owner, who made sure everything was top notch!

Pricing Dinner is (aptly) priced for an fine dining experience that you'll have every so often. The sharable sides can be pretty generous. I got an appetizer as well, but maybe I'll get extra sides if I'm feeling especially hungry in the future. It's definitely worth the experience and quality, but I also glanced at the brunch menu and got pretty curious. I'll probably bring my friends over for brunch whenever I can!
