Annie was absolutely unhinged the entire hour she did my nails. It started with me telling her exactly what nail colors I would like to use (both from the new, displayed Anthony Vince collection) and her trying to tell me not to use the color I wanted because it wasn’t OPI, and that OPI is better and lasts longer, etc. First of all, this isn’t my first manicure. I know the different brands and how some are better (last longer) than others, but I told her what color I wanted and that should be that. It’s not hard. But she continued to essentially belittle the brand as well as myself for choosing this color (again, a color on their main front display) the entire time and made intermittent digging, inappropriate comments throughout. When I asked her to please do a third coat of the color (it’s opaque, but was showing sheer after her second coat, so I asked for a third, please) she got riled up and basically said I chose this brand and color and “I’ll do this favor for YOU. Okay I’ll do this favor for YOU. You want it like that, I’ll do that for YOU. It’ll come off in 8-10 days instead of two weeks if it was OPI, but I do it for YOU” with crazy unhinged eyes. It was honestly insane. My response was “isn’t that the idea? Aren’t I paying for a service? Why do you care what brand I chose, it shouldn’t affect you?”. She even said (three separate times) throughout the experience “maybe I should just not talk. I’ve been told just don’t talk. Maybe I just not talk” I wanted to say “Um, yeah, that would be GREAT” but I think I said a mildly more polite response. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in my life. I over tipped her just so I wouldn’t have to deal with her any longer waiting for change. She did not deserve it, or any-frankly- but I wanted it all to end. I’ve been coming to this location periodically since high school and I’m in my mid 30’s now. This was enough to deter me from EVER coming back. Please get this woman help if she needs it, or in the least- be aware of...
Read moreThis is actually the first review I have ever written~I have been coming here for years and usually it is ok depending on who you get. Some techs are great and some are the worst. Recent experience that left me in tears and no action from managment at all. I had planned a mother daughter day with my 3 teenager daughters for us all for mani and pedi both with gel and lunch. First they separated one of the children from me, the youngest one actually who is only 10 which I did not like. Took away from the experaince and she felt left out. Next I was getting my pedi which was the first service of the 2 being done. I told the tech that I had gel coat on and being that I have been doing it for years, I know the process. She proceeded to drill my gel coat off almost totally instead of soaking and wrapping. I was alarmed but didn’t want to say anything and embarrass the kids or anyone else. I let it go on when I know I should have said something. So fast forward to about half way done and she proceeds to hit my skin with the drill leaving me bleeding. I was so upset and my kids alarmed and upset. She was going to keep going and I was like, NO just stop. Enough. All the other techs knew what was happening and were all talking about it and me. Anyway, I left with half my toes with old polish and bleeding and my day that cost me several hundred dollars and my time with the kids ruined. Not happy, not handled properly, not trained properly and...
Read moreSo, after reading so many reviews on A LOT of nail places, I was convinced I would be better off just continuing to paint my own toes! I've been doing my own nails consistently for the past 9 years, but I really wanted to have a mommy/daughter day with my girls, so we can get mani's & pedi's. So, I took my daughter and mother in law to Anthony Vince; they had a lot of "bad" reviews, but more positive ones compared to other places I searched. Anywho, the man that I guess runs the shop was a little rude, but the techs that worked on me, my girls and mother in law were very nice! I was so hesitant because I haven't been in a nail salon in YEARS, but my girls enjoyed themselves and getting their nails/toes painted. Me and my mother in law were pleased with our pedi's as well. Naree did my pedi, Hu (I think) did my MIL's, Paul did my youngest and unfortunately, I can't recall the other lady that worked on my other daughter, but she was nice. *I took off 1 star because I couldn't get a an appointment because the man who runs the place wanted to keep spot open for walk-ins and another star because the same man was trying to rush my MIL's pedi, but she said no because wasn't going to leave her granddaughters by themselves upfront. (I went first and my MIL knows I don't really pamper myself, so she didn't want to interrupt that). I may go back, but only for Naree. I do my own nails, so it would be for...
