Funtastic Playtorium Alderwood — Attraction in Lynnwood

Booked my kid's 5th birthday here. Everything would have been fine except that the staff tried to rush us out of the room 15 minutes prior the end of the party time we booked so they could clean the room. Since their website says that you have time before and after to setup/tear down, this was confusing to me because we should have had at least 15 minutes AFTER the party to tear down and the staff could have been cleaning while we did that. It's not like they sanitized the room after we left. They threw stuff out and changed the table cloth. When I told one of the staff members who rushed us out that we should have had more time, he told me he called a few weeks prior to confirm the booking and suggested we show up much earlier than the party time slot so that kids could play and then have cake right at the start of the party (1 hour 15 minutes of party time is booked) so we would be out on time. He also said they couldn't start cleaning until everyone was out of the party room. First of all, we would have been out on time and would not have stayed longer, but they acted like we were going to be late getting out. Secondly, I received only one voice mail, 4 days prior (not weeks), giving me this information. Then a second voicemail 20 minutes prior to the start of our booking asking me to confirm our party.

If they hadn't rushed us out so fast and hadn't lied (or misremembered) how long ago they called me, I would have left a great review. This facility should work on its communication skills. If they wanted us to be at the facility earlier, they should have told us shortly after we booked the party a month prior (not 4 days before the party as we had already sent invites weeks earlier telling people to get there right at the start of the party time). If they want people to start cleaning after exactly 1 hour of being in the room, they need to explicitly tell us that at the time of booking. I might let my kid play here again, but I won't book a party here (and neither will any of the parents who witnessed them rushing...

We have been here several times and always had fun. However, on Tue 5/3/22, we went there around 6 PM. Waited several minutes to get in, while people were waiting to leave, because the counter was unmanned. Eventually a kid showed up. I say kid because he looked to be a teenager. He looked stoned, had headphones in, and was very unprofessional. Then we get inside and 3 moms are screaming at each other because someone's kid hit someone else's kid. No employees in sight. They were scaring kids and other parents were trying to defuse the situation. We decided to leave. Again, nobody at the counter. I just left with my daughter without anyone checking our wristbands. I could have left with any random child and there was nobody there to stop me. To me this is very unsafe and I won't be taking my daughter there anymore, at least not in the evenings. Every other time we've been there was during the day and there have always been 2-3 employees working. I'm very disappointed in our last visit. My kid loves going there. I guess my advice is to REALLY watch your child there because apparently people can just walk out uncontested with children. And anyone can just walk in and do...
