With the help of the staff at Bashinski Fine Gems & Jewelry, my husband was able to craft a beautiful, vintage-inspired ring that literally stops people on the street daily. I proudly tell them about how my husband picked it out on his own (with the guidance of the incredible staff) and when we went to pick our wedding bands they added tiny, beautiful details to pull all three rings together. Every time I walk into Bashinski Fine Gems & Jewelry I am reminded of the difference between working with a small business and a large corporation. They remember my name, spend time cleaning my piece and talk about the part they played in picking it out for me. You don't get that kind of service from Tiffanys or Kay Jewelers. Recently my husband completed his service in the military and to commemorate his time he worked with Stephen to find a set of earrings that symbolized that part of our life. 2.5 stars...It has been a little over a year since I had a bracelet designed by them. The item is ok. It could have been designed a little better ( a stone is not centered that should have been). The experience here overall was a bit negative. From getting an estimate via e-mail to dropping my stone at their store (2 hours away) after agreeing on a price for the item I wanted designed. Once I showed up my estimate went up by about $2k and I was told it’s because they assumed the item was for a woman... yet that was never mentioned and obviously I’m a guy emailing you. I was already there an excited to have the piece made so I continued. Then trying to pay a few weeks later - that was even worse...

Do not try and use an Amex credit card to pay (unless this has changed in a year). The only card I have and no one ever mentioned this was an issue until after they had my stone and set it in my bracelet. Checking out wasted two hours of my life and was super frustrating.
