Had a hankering for pizza and decided to try The Brick Macon. They have a great craft beer selection and lots of varieties of pizza and pastas. It was empty when we pulled in at 11:30am on a Saturday, but in no time the place was packed and the parking lot was full. I started off with the Lupulin Tropical Fun Pants beer (crisp but not tart) which was good and refreshing. Mark had the Great Steak pizza (Alfredo sauce, shaved ribeye, smoked bacon, bell peppers, onions, cheddar, mozzarella) and it was like a Philly Cheesesteak on a crust. Lots of meat and cheese and the smell is divine. I had The Roman (pesto sauce, baked chicken, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, mozzarella) which was light and flavorful with a briny sort of twist from the marinated artichoke hearts that went perfectly with the New Realm Lime of the Party beer, which tasted a lot like Key Lime pie filling in a glass. Just smelling it made me want the dessert. It's almost like eating deep dish pizza except on a thinner crust. They certainly don't scrimp on the cheese! Both pies were delicious and we'll definitely be back to try another. Have since also tried the warm spinach artichoke dip and Montezuma's Revenge sandwich. Both good!

TLDR: If you like Pesto and/or Alfredo, Do yourself a favor and try the Pesto Cream sauce pasta….. I needed to carb load the night before a pickleball tournament so I looked for a pasta place near my AirBNB. The Brick was one of the highest rated places (according to Google) and less than a half mile away. I had the “Create your own pasta” with Penne, Pesto Cream sauce, Italian sausage and mozzarella and it was AMAZING!!! It came with a slice of garlic bread that luckily I left till the end to sop up the sauce when all the Penne and sausage was gone. I also got 2 “Brick brews” that were very good house IPA beers on draft and incredibly reasonably priced ($3 per glass). I went around 9pm (on a Sat night) and it wasn’t too busy but my server (Aaron) was very pleasant and attentive. I can assure you that i will go again next time I’m in Macon for a pickleball tournament.

Not sure what's going on with the buffalo chicken dip. This isn't shredded chicken and it's soupy. HORRIBLE!!!! Contacted the manager on duty Megan and she said, I believe you about the soup part they got to time it right in the microwave. She never mentioned about it not being shredded. She replaced my order only to be fooled with a small amount of shredded chicken in top and I mean small but once I began to eat it there goes the chucks of chicken pieces and some fatty meat. NASTY AND HORRIBLE tasting!!! To me they HAD the best buffalo chicken dip. I've been eating this for a while now. The portion was much larger and the price is still the same but now the portion is MUCH SMALLER with the same price and it comes out looking like this. After experiencing this two days in a row, I won't be eating here anymore. You all ran into a BRICK WALL with this!!!!

Just went in for a slice. I've been here 4 or 5 times before and it's always been an ok place. Just now I went in and waited by the hostess stand for about 5 minutes. No one approached me. In fact I tried to catch the eye of the bartender and she was deliberately ignoring me and overtly flirting with a couple of men at the bar. I was not sure who was even working there. One of the males was dressed like he worked there, but when I looked at him, and he looked right in my eyes he just gave me a hard look like he wanted to fight me or something. Eventually I just walked farther in and seated myself. There was only one or two other customers there. I sat down and waited about 15 minutes. Finally, a very sweet waitress came out who was apparently the only one working, I know because she was carrying something to another table. She came over to me, and was extremely attentive and efficient. After I ate my slice, the waitress promptly came out with the check. I was in a hurry so I decided to pay up front, so I took my check up to the hostess stand. Once again, no one approached or addressed me and would not look me in the eyes. It was more than not noticing me, it was active and aggressive ignoring. I finally walked up to the bartender and she finally asked what I needed, even though I had my ticket in my hand, wallet and credit card out. It was obvious I wanted to pay. The bartender asked me what I wanted and I said playfully, "I want to give you money for the food you gave me." Her reply was angry, "I didn't give you any food." Then another woman said she'll get my server. It wasn't clear that any of them even worked there. Finally, my server came back and ran my card. She, once again, seemed like the only person working in the whole place. That is the only reason I gave the place a 2 instead of 1. I don't see any reason to ever go back there. There's too many places out there that still are happy to see customers and don't ignore and speak sarcastically to them. Their business is not and never has been booming and no one ever is excited to go here. It's only a matter of convenience. Such mediocre place has no business having a condescending attitude...

I asked her where is Alex she said who haha Alex is the manager! I worked for him I know them…the brick must need help bad letting her mess up the good reputation the place has…. We were in town for a hockey game, and this place came up when I Googled places to eat.

We pulled up and the place was nicely decorated and had outdoor and indoor seating and good music going so we were pretty stoked.

When we walked in, we were told they only had 1 server there. The place was semi busy, but we weren't in a rush, so we decided to give it a go.

The server we had was nice and did her best, so I'm not saying anything bad on her part. A couple more servers showed up, and so I expected things to go a little smoother.

Our appetizer, fried pickles came out and were hot and delicious. We placed our entrée order, and after doing so, we didn't see much of our server until the food started coming out. This left many of us with empty drinks as she was trying to juggle her tables

The food came out, and my husband and I split a pizza. Sadly, it was cold. Everyone else said their stuff was okay. After she dropped the food, she noticed we were out of drinks. A couple of us ordered another round, and it took over 10 mins to get 2 beers. The bar was also out of glasses so they brought our beers in plastic cups. Our waters were also out, so a couple of us didn't have anything to drink with our meal.

Again, our server was busy, but it would have been nice if instead of keep seating more people for them to go on a little wait while she managed the tables she already had. This would have given her a little bit of a breather and allowed her to better service her customers.

Also, automatic 20% gratuity is added to parties of 6 or more. I'm not upset about this, just more as an FYI, as I didn't know until I...
