They had tackle. And a reasonable selection, thus at least the 2 stars. But the staff to quote my son "were as helpful as talking to a bag of bricks." They were not busy... just the 2 of us as customers, but would not engage in conversation or offer advice or help locating items. They could not be bothered to get up from their chairs nor answer any questions we had. Which sucks for them as we then went to another nearby Tackle shop and had great helpful service and spent several hundred $ re-outfitting our boat. My guess is they won't care because enough tourists come in it doesn't matter. (Though while we were there at least 2 other groups came in, one didn't get helped either and left empty handed like us.) I would suggest looking at some of the other stores for better service, or Amazon if you already know what you need and can...
Read moreI wouldn't give them a single star. Asked about spooling three reels and they said that it would take the rest of the day (went in at noon) no other customers around. Said forget it thanks anyway. They had the nerve to ask what part of the real world I live in. Very rude! NO ONE SHOULD EVER SPEND A DIME IN THAT PLACE! Update to the owner: The men working that day were literally standing around doing nothing, but talking to their friend. They didn't even acknowledge us as we entered. If they had actually been BUSY, I would have completely understood. I sure did, Thanks to Jig's Bait and Tackle in...
Read moreDo not rent rods/reels from this place!!!! We rented 4 rods/reels (weekly rental) from them on 4-13-21 and went to the 7 Mile Bridge to fish. One of the rods didn't have enough fishing line to fish off the bridge so we took it back to get more line. They wanted to sell us the fishing line. The right thing to do would have been to provide the line at no charge. I guess they have no idea how to provide good customer service to their patrons. We will not go back and thought others should know about this poor business...
