I own and manage a store on Amazon and my initial impression of Thrift Sense was pretty good, but I was unable to receive a cellular signal in their books section for scanning due to the location of that section within the store as well as interference from their metal book shelves, sheet metal wall covering, and lighting. I noticed that the store had wifi, and asked an employee for wifi access on my first visit. The employee was polite, and invited me to return on a different day, and insisted that getting me the wifi password to help me locate items that I wished to purchase would be no issue once the manager/owner was present. Upon returning to the store several days later, the same employee greeted me with a smile, and went to the manager/owner's office to request the wifi password to assist me in my search. The manager impolitely shot down my request and ruined the employee's kind request to help me as a customer out. I feel that whoever owns this store is much more interested in it as a hobby and not as a business because that person is definitely not interested in making money. Very unprofessional management/ownership. As a business owner myself, I understand not wanting to share a wifi password, but it also doesn't take a genius to set up a guest account for your customers, when your store has such terrible indoor cellular coverage. Dear, Mr. or Mrs. Manager/Owner, do not blame this post on your employee. This...
Read moreI'm starting my own kind of video blog of me going out to different thrift stores usually I go to the women in distress bloomingsales of course because of their mission but today I figured I'd go down the street to Thrift sense here's why. When I come in there's usually a staff of two young ladies who accommodate me greatly so I really do appreciate that. Not to mention the selection is well sorted and pick through I appreciate that. What I do not appreciate is the selection that is not available of art that is on the wall I feel should be able to be purchased. Just my personal opinion. Also why do not agree with is for those who Thrift for a living the items that you're looking to turn a profit on simply are either too damaged to sell and or they are behind the counter with the price jacked up so you can't make a profit. That's my only issue with this entire store. I wish that they would let some of the products that come in Trinkle down to the customer. Now keep in mind this is only a few items I eat Michael Kors purses Kate Spade anything that you could turn a profit on almost. But for the most part I love coming into the store again the staff is very friendly and the selection is massive so you can spend all day in here. Their Specialties here is purses and shoes if you need to find a three piece suit to have tailored definitely would recommend this spot. Anyway follow me @depicasso on ig ...
Read moreThe last time I was here this was a Thrift Sense. Located in the Crossroads Plaza off of Coconut Creek Parkway, they mainly sold clothes and it was not very exciting. Now it is a Family Thrift and the change is most welcome. Family Thrift is a non profit that provides families in need in Broward, Miami, and Palm Beach with clothing and furniture. They will pick up your gently used clothing and furniture for their stores here in Margate and in Lauderhill. They also do buy outs so their stores are a mixture of new and used items.
The first thing I noticed when I walked in the door was that they really cleaned this place up. The store is very large and they put in beautiful new flooring. They have a lot of elegant art to hang on your walls, some furniture, house hold items, and clothing new and used. The clothing is set up like a boutique and there is a changing area. Items in the store range from just a few dollars into the hundreds. My favorite find was a stained glass dragonfly lamp. Family Thrift has made this one of the nicest thrift stores in the area. I look forward to being a...
