I want to start by saying that this is reflective of the current state of the spa during renovations.
The Good: my wife and I experienced the 80 minute Lomi couples massage, and the experience was amazing. We felt amazing afterwards, and the therapists made sure to verify the right pressure and focus areas before and during the massage. The staff was all super friendly before, during, and after the experience. We enjoyed the wellness juice shot at the end as well. When your eyes are closed, a massage is a massage regardless of the scenery!
The OK: the Four Seasons is doing the best with what they have. There’s only so many spaces that can be used during a renovation. We weren’t fully prepared for the “move to the sixth floor” being cleared out hotel rooms. The changing rooms were just completely empty rooms with small stalls to change, the waiting lounge was two conjoined rooms, and the massage room was the same. You get access to Therabody items, though just instructed to look at the user manuals and set them up yourself.
The Bad: we were told over the phone that we would have access to a cold plunge and dry sauna. During our experience it was never mentioned or offered. The “waiting lounge” only had three massage chairs. If a couple is using the chairs, another couple is out of luck. The only refreshments were detox water, lukewarm tea, dried fruit, and a trail mix. We deferred our welcome prosecco to after the massage, but we had to ask twice afterwards before any showed up. The experience in addition to the massage, which I’m sure will be lovely when the renovation is done, was severely lacking at the moment.
All in all, as guests of the spa who were NOT staying on property, the experience was disappointing. While the massage was as good as we’ve had, we missed out on the experience that usually comes with a massage of...
Read moreI got a 50 min lomilomi massage and came early to get changed in their robe and slippers. I used their lockers and then waited in the waiting area for my masseuse to come get me. When he greeted me, he was very friendly. He walked me back to the room and explained where to put my belongings and where to hang my robe etc. He left the room then I took my jewelry off, disrobed and lay face down on the massage bed. The room was small, cozy and basic but comfortable for my massage. I specifically asked for louder music as I don’t want to hear steps or air conditioning or people in the hallway… but the music still could have been louder. The massage itself was heavenly, his hands were strong and he took the time to make sure I was comfortable. 50 minutes just isn’t enough! I especially loved the finishing touches of a foot scrub. That was perfection! After my massage, he gave me some water and some Hawaiian snacks. I then went back to the change room and had a nice hot shower and took my time getting ready. Their facilities are beautiful and I wanted to enjoy it as I paid so much for the massage! What a wonderful way to end my...
Read moreBest spa experience ever!!!! From the moment I walked in to when I left, the atmosphere was so relaxing. All the staff were so helpful and kind, there was always someone there to help if needed and made me feel really welcomed. I got a tour of the facility to get familiar with everything, then given a locker to put my stuff in. I loved the variety of choices in the amenities. In the women’s section, I started off with body scrub while enjoying the rain showers, then to the steam room, next a cold bucket shower and cold mist option, then my very first cold plunge pool experience, a hot tub and then a dry sauna. The co-ed section had a heated salt pool, another larger steam room (Hammam) and an Infrared Light Therapy sauna (which was honestly my favorite sauna/steam room of them all, but it does cost extra and it was so worth it). I also really enjoyed the showers available to rinse off afterwards and the area with multiple vanities to make sure you’re leaving the spa looking your best. I would definitely recommend and certainly plan to go...
