Frustrating and Underwhelming
We booked this ziplining tour months in advance, expecting a seamless and exciting experience. Unfortunately, it was a frustrating and underwhelming day from start to finish.
There was no clear communication during booking that a separate email or message would include a different check-in time. The event was listed as starting at 8:00 AM, so we planned to arrive then. Instead, on the morning of the tour at 7:10 AM, we received a text telling us to be there by 7:30 AM. We rushed into an Uber to get there on time—only to arrive and go through a two-second check-in process, then wait around.
When I brought this up to the front desk staff (Betty), she repeatedly told me it was my fault for not digging through past communications—even though we had just received the actual arrival notice minutes before. There was zero accountability or willingness to improve their process. Not a great way to start a tour that cost over $200 per person.
After waiting for the guides to show up (they didn’t arrive until just before 8:00), we were directed into a very dirty cargo van with barely functioning AC—not ideal in Hawaii’s summer heat. That van took us to another location, where we put on our gear. Then, we were loaded into a second 4 wheel-drive vehicle for a rough 20–30 minute ride up a poorly maintained dirt road. At one point, the driver had to back down and retry a steep hill multiple times due to the loose dirt. It felt unnecessarily dangerous.
By the time we arrived at the actual ziplining site, nearly two hours had passed. The ziplining itself was… fine. There were eight lines, but six of them were very short (around 50–75 yards). The actual time spent ziplining was maybe 8 minutes total out of a 4+ hour roundtrip. For the price and time commitment, it just wasn’t worth it.
The views were decent, but if that’s what you’re after, I’d highly recommend parasailing instead. We had a far better experience doing that—better views, more time in the air, and half the cost.
Also worth mentioning: one of the guides, Manny, made constant jokes—mostly harmless, but he singled out a guest, joking about her name and teasing her throughout the beginning of the tour. It was clearly making her uncomfortable, and only after it became obvious did he start backing off and acting more polite. Her kids even started joining in on the teasing, which made it worse.
In summary: the ziplining itself was fine, but the poor communication, lack of professionalism from Betty and Manny, and the overall experience left a bad taste. If you only care about ziplining and don’t mind wasting most of your day, this might be “good enough.” But we definitely won’t be booking with this company again—and wouldn’t recommend...

We booked through adventures in Hawaii for a Sunday - we came from the NCL intra-island Hawaii cruise. We rented a car and drove - about 40 minutes from port.
When arriving you are asked to walk up and down three sets of steep stairs a few times to give you a perspective about how high some Steps might be. This was an excellent way to determine if you could manage steps - which is critical. Jacob and Jared were our tour guides and I give them a 10000% review for safety , capability , communication and just being incredibly fun to be around. Jacob had a joke for everything which took your mind off the zip lining (if you happened to be afraid like me - being afraid of heights).
There are no ATVs which take you to top of zip line - you drive in Becky - which is an old 15 passenger van. One of the only vans which were not destroyed in the Lahaina fires. this business was truly stuck hard due to the Lahaina fires
Jacob is a master at driving the van up the steep hills to get to your first stop which is the equipment hut. You will get your harnesses and helmets and leave any valuables in their locked trunk. There are fanny packs for phones and wallets if you wish to take on the zip lines
8 lines of zip lining fun was now underway starting with the Shortest to longest lines. Between line 7 and 8 is a considerable amount of steep hills and walking. Care is needed during this time.
At no time did I feel unsafe or uncomfortable. It was an incredible experience and one I recommend to anyone who truly wants to zip line. Incredible company - incredible tour guides and exceptional zip lining ! Mahalo to Jacob and Jared - PS. Don’t forget to bring cash to tip your guides. These guys are worth...

From start to finish, our guides Randall and Christian made the experience unforgettable. Not only were they hilarious, but they also brought so much local insight and knowledge to the tour—it was like getting a history and science lesson while flying through the sky!
Safety was clearly their top priority. They walked us through every step, triple-checked equipment, and made sure everyone felt secure and comfortable before each zip. My mom, who was a little nervous going in, I can’t say enough about how much that put her at ease.
And the ziplines themselves? Incredible! Fast, smooth, and scenic—it’s the kind of thrill that leaves you grinning from ear to ear. Our whole group (kids, adults, first-timers, and repeat zippers) had an absolute blast.
This tour is the perfect mix of fun, education, and island adventure. Randall and Christian were the heart of the experience—funny, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do.
Highly recommend! 10/10 experience. Don’t leave the island...
