I have in the past, donated my labor services to Habitat for humanity and found them to be reasonable and fair in most everything they do ..... that being said, these offices here in Medford seem to be from another world. I stopped in to find an inexpensive, small cabinet for some storage options. I found a small, run down cabinet (that you would see on Craigslist for free) that needed expensive TLC to get it back to acceptable standards. The lady behind the counter wanted 30 bucks!! And another one in slightly better condition jumped to 60 bucks!! I've never seen such GREED from one of these stores! These items sitting in the store collecting dust were DONATED.... so why is it necessary to place ridiculous prices on them? I will not only avoid going into them but it has also changed my venue as to ever donating my time or labor to these stores. This was actually the second time I left the store wondering why .... but this time I decided to share my thoughts. STOP THE...
Read moreI had purchased a furniture item from the location in south Medford, ( I’m a frequent shopper). I had been unable to pick up dresser, came into store to return item, they said I needed the recipe understandable, went home found he receipt , came back a week later. The manager stated bc he couldn’t find the carbon copy of the cruelty j could not rerun item nor puck up the item nor get store credit. . Basically I was out of luck ahd gave the store my money for nothing in return. We ended up arguing with the manager, he was extremely rude and didn’t care even after I began to cry bc I was so frustrated. He was unwilling to fix. The situation. I then left the store. This store receives mainly donations, and he refused to even do store credit for my item that he longer had. Later my bf almost had an altercation bc of how rude he was in general and gave me store certificate for half of the item cost. Completely disgusting store manger...
Read moreI will never donate here again.! They gladly accept your things and let me say I’ve donated really well taken care furniture couches etc. but they can’t honor a $10 off your next purchase for donating. I stopped by with my father who is on a fixed income and he saw a futon that he wanted to purchase only for the mattress so basically he was willing to pay for the whole futon even though it was broken just so he can have the mattress. However we spoke with Ron and Right away said it wasn’t broken when he saw it so I took it as are you trying to say we broke it? He didn’t say anything. Anyways besides bad customer service, they would not honor my $10 off for donating. last time I ever donate here I will be going to Goodwill from now on at least there better...
