I had an appointment for a mani/pedi, and I arrived, picked out my toe color. It took 5 min to get my color. The "teacher" came out and said that they could not do my manicure and pedicure because I took too long picking out my toe color, and I had not mentioned that I needed previous nail polish removed, so I was adding services. She stood there and talked down to me and told me that "it was my fault". She literally stood there for 15 mintues telling me how they didn't have time to do both the manicure and the pedicure. So, I told her that it was my birthday, and I would take the manicure. Then she went in the back, and I could hear her loudly telling lies about what had happened and saying that I could not come in and demand services. I was sitting at the manicure table for 15 minutes while this went on. She came out and announced again that they did not have time to do both the manicure and the pedicure, and I said to her that for the fourth time now, I would take the manicure. She loudly, while walking off and throwing her arms in the air, says "ma'am we are not serving you today at all, we are canceling your appointment". The students are amazing, and this teacher is rude, and is not a good example to these students of how you act and treat people in general. I cannot believe that Gould's allows her to interact with customers and be a mentor for the students. The manager was contacted, and from the story she was told, she agreed that they would cancel my services. I have been in there 4 times to have work done, and each time this particular "teacher" has been talking rudely to someone, either a student or a customer. The students told me that she has had numerous complaints against her. Goulds, why is she...
Read moreOne of these cosmo teachers should be audio recorded in class because of the things she says in class when she is not accompanied by another teacher. I was told there should be 2 teachers in class although most teachers are fine alone. But this teacher (I don’t wish to mention her name) is like night and day when there is not another teacher in class. She talks bad about the school and students get a funny look on their face and leave out of class because they’re uncomfortable and don’t want to hear that, especially from a teacher. She even told one student that you can just print up a fake document to “do hair” and all sorts of stuff. I would think that Gould’s would like to keep their students rather than have a teacher encourage them to seek other avenues like apprenticeship, etc. Some students didn’t return the next day because it was that bad. I will not repeat the bad things she said and advice she gave students. She talks like she doesn’t want to work there or that’s just how she is maybe. I would love to repeat some of the things she said but I would not want it to reflect on Gould’s. I guess students should report her in order to do something about it but don’t want to. Gould’s is a nice school only teachers like this ruin it. We pay too much money to...
Read moreAwful experience with very disrespectful supervisor of nails. They didn't want to "touch my nails" because I had put some fake nails on and pressed too hard causing redness at 3 of my cuticles. So, I just wanted a polish. The point was I was spoken to so rudely and made to feel like I had a disease!!! Boy was she "drunk with power"... While talking to the mgr. Mr. Gould, all I got was " he understood, that I was frustrated, blah, blah psychological babble... That this was a "school". I get all that!!!!! All I wanted was a simple "I'm sorry our employee spoke to you like that". It was unprofessional, unacceptable and unethical. I will never darken the door of that place again. I know of the Gould family and was so disappointed that I wasn't at the very least, given an apology. When I said I didn't want to take this to social media, Mr. Paul told me that I didn't need to "threaten" anybody with Memphis "being on edge". It's not a threat, the community needs to know how you treat its...
