In an age where Office Depot is a dinosaur, having failed to adapt to modern times and changing shopping trends, is overpriced, and whose stock shares and earnings reflect that by continue to plummet year after year, one would think the ONE thing Office Depot could at least ATTEMPT to do is make up for it by providing stellar...no, not even stellar....DECENT customer service. Well, as for this Miami Beach location, one would be incorrect in such thinking. The employees here, from the top down, all appear to absolute hate working and regard as massive inconveniences the few customers who do still come here. I've been coming here periodically for over 20 years. I wish I could say that at any time it has been a good experience. It has not. And that this store is still open for business is amazing, but for the fact that they're now the only such store on the beach (there once was a Staples, but it has since closed). In any case, not sure who is in charge of hiring and training, but they need to be fired. Every single employee needs to be fired, for not one of them has any redeeming attributes whatsoever, and even basic common courtesy is something which escapes them all. They are, quite literally, worthless and need to be sent back to kindergarten to learn what we teach children in how to interact with others. People, life is short, if you hate your job so much, leave it. There are others who would, and could, do a much better job than the miserable, arrogant, ignorant, apathetic, and rude employees at this location. Hey Office Depot - the 80s are long over, Jack Kopkin died nearly 20 years ago, and your presence in the "office supplies" world has been replaced ages ago by those who can provide far better service, far more quickly, at far better prices. If you have any hope of surviving, you need to at least get customer service right. Thus far, you're pathetically awful at doing so. For any considering coming to this location - avoid it all costs unless you absolutely have to (and even then, you probably still will not find what you're...
Read moreIf there could be less than one star, I would click that! Every, single time I come into the store, there is an issue. Staff is completely incompetent . There is one guy in the print area who is extremely helpful, and has gone above and beyond to try to help me when I need help. Oftentimes stopping what he's doing to help me with something because no one else in the store will! They will send you in a direction where what you are looking for is... instead of walking you over there to help you. There is a manager there who is out of his mind rude! He argues with customers, and stands around doing nothing, most of the time. When I tell you every single time, I mean every single time I have an issue! I have been in there on multiple occasions, with my elderly mother, and she is the sweetest that she could be... And she gets crickets from them. I always get mad and then she gets mad at me. And I have told her over and over they are incompetent and don't do their job right. Finally, we both made a phone call to the headquarters, and she actually complained as well. Because she knows that I am not seeing things. They are horrible. If things don't change, I will never go in the...
Read moreToday at about 8:50am, I went to Office Depot in South Beach to pick-up a purchase I did online. A tall guy names Ralph came over and showed me where the pickup bags were. He told me I had to go to the counter, where he left the package. Kristian, the cashier, said "I don't know why he brought you here." He went on about how he didn't need a payment from me. He took my id and said again he wasn't sure why I was brought to him.
SO I asked him, "Is this the protocol when someone buys something online?" Kristian replied, "they just come in and grab it from the pick-up and that's it." SO I asked to see the manager and Kristian called Ralph back over. Ralph said he was the manager. I ask him "why am I being asked to go through a different protocol than other customers?" He replied I was not. SO I asked Kristian, "How long have you worked here?" Kristian replied 11 months. In the meantime, Ralph was holding my purchase (which was already paid for and had my name on it). I took out my phone and he said "don't take a picture of me. You have no right to take a picture of me. I am going to call the cops on you." This was the start of my morning. What would you...
