I have been frequenting this store a few times a month for many years. Customer service has always been spotty, but they do carry a few items that I cannot find elsewhere so I continue to keep coming back for those. A few days ago they sold me a bottle of rancid oil. When I called and asked if I would be able to return or exchange it even though I had not kept my receipt (as the items I bought simply would not warrant keeping a receipt-think hand soap and dog food) I was met with a lot of resistance. She actually wanted me to go home check my lot number and call her back. She also refused to open another bottle as it was sealed to make sure that the bottles they have currently are not rancid. She also seemed to imply I may just want to go ahead and order It off of Amazon as I have in the past. Which now looks like a good advice. I guess I will take my business to Amazon. So much for being able to support my local health food store. The absolute meltdown of customer service when you cannot return or exchange a $10 bottle of rancid oil Is the final straw for me here. Common sense would tell anyone that if you want to keep a customer you would, as they say, give them the pickle. I am currently hoping I can find the receipt in my garbage just so I can take it in and they can see that I'm not lying as I very much feel like that is what was implied. Some of the worst customer service I have ever received. On the plus side the lady was very pleasant on the phone she just refused to...
Read moreVery stereotyping, racist, and non diverse and friendly staff. AS SOON AS as minorities (esp. black's) enter the store, until existing the store, all eyes are on them, and they're bum rushed for assistance; even if the staff are helping white customers their eyes, attention, and focus is fixated on the minority (Esp black) customer. Additionally, they pierce them with their eyes following them around the store, some will be very bold and obvious and some will have the audacity to try and play like they're straightening the products on the shelves after you have declined their assistance, esp. if you say something like, "I'm just casually shopping." THEY ARE GOING TO CASUALLY PATROL YOU LIKE YOU'RE A SHOP LIFTER, LIKE WHITE PEOPLE DON'T STEAL. The comical and sad, but true part of is, while they're so busy stereotyping, following, and watching the minorities like a hawk, the whites that they "Think" don't look like shoplifters, are the one's shoplifting and or scamming them...That one and only minority that has been there for years, is more pathetic, shunning, ignoring, and or being rude towards minorities, is not going to EVER make him white and or make racist whites view him as one-no matter how sick, sad, pathetic, and delusional he look trying to be and act white, esp. thinking that a racist white don't view him the same as they do...
Read moreI've been coming to this store since before I was an adult, for over 20 years. Since COVID, they've had issues getting products I've been buying from them for years- but the products are still available at other stores, like GNC. I like being able to get all of my supplements (and a few novelties) at one store and in one stop. It wasn't a deal-breaker until today, when I received awful service. I waited around to speak to the associates because even more of my regular items weren't available, but I was repeatedly ignored. I wasn't even greeted. When I finally checked out, the cashier asked me if I found everything and I told her no, and that I waited for help and never got it, she just said "I'm sorry to hear that," and kept ringing my items like I didn't say I had a problem. The hollow response, and zero follow up was more inflammatory than not saying anything to me at all. She bagged my items even though I asked not to have them bagged, and when I reminded her and held out my hand, she put them on the counter below my hand. All of these little instances of impolite behavior by the staff got to me today. First and last time that...
