Normally vision works are my go to for prescriptions. Here's my experience at this location: So due to police activity on biscayne on the day of my appointment I was going to be late. At the moment I saw this I tried calling, 13 times and no one picks up the phone. I arrive 15 mins after my appointment to be told unfortunately there's a 5 to 10 minute cancelation window. I advise the rep. that I've been trying to call and no one answers, she then explains that they've been having issues with their phone and that IT is aware. I ask are there any provisions that can be made considering I tried calling on numerous occasions. She casually tells me there's nothing they can do because I'm late. Instead of getting into into a back and forth and arguing, I decided to just leave as I saw that that particular rep was more interested in using her phone than helping, to which I'll say this hir reflects so poorly of vision works Now, being in hospitality and just being an adult I do understand how all of this works and tried to do do what I could to advise them, but the casual nature of dismissing a client and not even trying to find a solution is beyond me. I guess when youre guaranteed to have business you could care less about the odd client being pushed...
Read moreI went for an aye test just because I wanted new glasses and I have VSP, which gives me new glasses and lenses every 2 years. The lady who registered me didn't explain anything, and just told me I had to pay $39 extras - plus the $10 copayment - for an electric exam, which I refused because she didn't explain what it was and I thought I didn't need it. .When Dr Torres saw me, he was aggressive and without ANY explanation he applied 2 eye drops in each eye and sent me outside to wait for 30 minutes. One hour later when he called me in, and he performed the test, he gave me the prescription which was for 2.50 instead of 2.75 which is what I am using now. I waited for him and asked him if that was right - specially since the whole test took him 5 minutes - and he didn't seem to care. After that Ms. Simone - she was really nice and tried to help the situation - helped me with the lenses and I paid $100 for lenses I am pretty sure they are not the right ones for me. But since my eyes were dilated, it was not possible to try different ones before ordering them. The worst part is that today - after 30 hours - my vision is still really blurry and my eyes are really sensitive. Worst...
Read moreGreat staff and vision clinic staff aside from sales associate Kat. Literally told me to "try to not touch so many frames"... As I shopped for frames. This was my third time in the store in the past 2 weeks and have interacted with her before- equally as rude. Just to be clear it was because the store was closing- nothing to do with Covid. There was a pile of frames from earlier in the day that needed to be cleaned that I 'inconveniently' added to it. Her manager that was also in the store at the same time was more than happy to help me. My understanding was that the store was still open, the door not locked- I ended up buying a pair so please disregard the fake review that conveniently popped up after this one. I knew what i needed just needed a second opinion on some that I had identified earlier in the week so brought someone with me, had I been asked for help this would have been understood. Removing another star for poor business practices on Visonworks behalf, such a shame. Wanted to support a local biz during covid but I guess next time i'll...
